Hawaiidan Posted October 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2015 Looking at some cruises that do China but they are in mid FEB to March, For anyone who has taken one was it colder than a brass monkey? Memory of Korea is pretty darn cool.... like ice skate time.. Any feed back form past experience...

We have been to Shanghai a couple of times at that time of year and whilst very cold we were lucky enough to have blue skies so for sightseeing it wasn't unpleasant...and the photos look great! wripro Posted October 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2015 It will be cold but Shanghai requires a lot of walking and I'd much rather walk around in the cold than the heat and humidity.
Floridiana Posted October 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2015 I was there at the end of March this year, not very cold but jacket or light coat weather. Brides in wedding dresses were out for picture taking. They were not freezing. My photos show me in a cardigan and young Chinese tourists in baseball jackets and hoodies. Some in shirt sleeves others in ski jackets. The weeping willows have just started light green leaves and the plum trees are in bloom. If you are there a month earlier, bring your down jacket. Floridiana Posted October 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2015 The year before was there in May, very nice summer weather, but not hot and humid, just perfect. Shanghai is well worth a visit or several, a fascinating city.
