Another rumour? AKA another dress code thread! Isn't there a "sticky" for a discussion like this? :eek:

 

 

The question I asked (I am the OP) was not about dress code or photographs. It was to find out if anyone else had heard that formal nights were being discontinued on Celebrity ships. So far, I have not noted any response to the question I asked. i.e. Nobody has heard this rumour. We'll just have to wait and see.

The standards for what PASSES as formal wear, have been nothing less than GHASTLY for QUITE some time now.

 

No TRUE gentleman would even THINK of being seen in public without powdered wig and tunic. ;) :D :rolleyes:

 

Not only that but most cruise lines will not allow you to take a cane or walking stick on board. I refuse to wear my wig where I cannot take my cane.

I totally understood the objective of your post. However, I also realized what it would turn into. Everything "evolves". :)
