SMN73 Posted November 6, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I am shocked they are not providing future cruise credits. 25% to 50% would seem appropriate here. I agree 100%. Who and when is the appropriate person to talk to? Customer service on board or call after I get home?
Rare LMaxwell Posted November 6, 2015 #27 Share Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) I agree 100%. Who and when is the appropriate person to talk to? Customer service on board or call after I get home? I'd head to guest services. Once you are off the ship they will just say "if you had a problem onboard, why didn't you bring it up to anyone onboard?" Heck, my DOOR LOCK failed on a ship and without asking they gave me a 20% future cruise credit and a bottle of wine, and that was nothing close to the ordeal you are going through. I would be absolutely livid losing 1/3rd of my vacation. Edited November 6, 2015 by LMaxwell
AdrenalineRush Posted November 6, 2015 #28 Share Posted November 6, 2015 $25 OBC is what they gave the Majesty delayed departure guests in Aug. They should have at least doubled it for you guys. This is a post from someone that sailed on that cruise. We were on that sailing and we received a $25 OBC per person for the delay (they said it was to compensate lunch). They had buses to take people to a shopping and food plaza that afternoon (we did not do that, we just waited in the terminal, but heard from others that they had a hard time getting back from the plaza). Also, we were told we would board between 4 and 6 and it was almost after 5 when they started boarding and it was a slow process. Sorry you have to go through it- it is a bummer on the short cruises to have a delay. You might get more money since dinner will be affected for you as well, especially since they will have to do the muster drill at some point also. Did they say what the reason was for the delay? FLL_Ship Posted November 6, 2015 #29 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Anyone know the latest I can check in? I'm at bayside and was thinking of 715pm checkin
SMN73 Posted November 6, 2015 Author #30 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I'm standing in a huge line to board. There is another huge line to get sea pass card. It's a bit of a madhouse. Seen some folks complaining. Most people just trying to make the best of it.

doclove Posted November 6, 2015 #32 Share Posted November 6, 2015 We have been moved to a different terminal with chairs. No one knows when we can start boarding.
swoopy2110 Posted November 6, 2015 #33 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I hope they give you more than $25! Hopefully someone sees sense. Although it may be beyond their control, it's no good telling people that boarding will start at 6pm-ish, for everyone to come back at that time, and then be told it may be another few hours.. You've basically lost your entire first day. I can see there being a lot of unhappy people. Although it is most defiantly not that staff in the terminal's fault, i'm sure they're just relaying information as they're getting it. Unfortunately, they will be getting the brunt of it though! They are holding people in different areas. I have no clue what they are going to do about dinner.

The showers were being flushed when we got to our room. For food the dining rooms are open now.
TravelinGert Posted November 7, 2015 #44 Share Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) We received a phone call this morning after we disembarked Allure of The Seas indicating they needed to do maintenance. When we arrived at the pier we were given a memo indicating we would be receiving $25 OBC per person, and an explanation. Our luggage was taken by the porters, we bypassed the security scanners, checked in, very quickly, and put on a bus to go to Bayside to go shopping for the day, and we are to return to the bus at 5pm to return to the pier. We were told we could walk right on upon return, making sure to have our Seapass card. I would laugh were it not so painful. We were told even unto first lining up outside right off the bus with sea pass walk right in. Immediately inside the building we got told it DOES NOT MATTER and made us all mix. Then they made us sort before going upstairs. Yup separated those with cards. Threw us all together for metal detector. At start of room after made us all stop and told all with cards go directly to boarding stairs. Guy by stairs then screamed at people who followed this instruction for not following instructions. And made us get in yet another endless line. I checked in for this cruise before noon. Now after 8 still waiting. And they just told us no dinner on ship. They had two trays of sandwiches for hundreds. Ran out and if there are more they must be somewhere else. I am so hungry and tired! This is awful and I have seen kindergarten kids organize better. SMN73 Posted November 7, 2015 Author #49 Share Posted November 7, 2015 Several people got that notice. I was not one of them. And they are "out". I'm so not happy. This is not noro. We should have been given the option to even take the cruise. I've told them it's not an option... I want a copy of that notice. The delay was the CDC, not anything else. They flat lied in the original text.
Rare LMaxwell Posted November 7, 2015 #50 Share Posted November 7, 2015 For the past few hours the Miami Port Webcam has been aimed away from the cruise port and over at the industrial operations (south side). Haven't noticed them do that when it's a non-RCI ship in port late.
