Least favorite Carnival port of call

What is your LEAST favorite Carnival port of call you've visited and why?

I would have to say Costa Maya. Although only been there once and did Carnival excursion to ruins (because ruins trip we wanted to do from Cozumel was cancelled), we do not want to go back.

 

But honestly, have a feeling we will equally dislike Amber Cove on next cruise.

I loved Costa Maya. Went to Maya chan beach and that was my favorite beach excursion ever.

Nassau...we stay on the ship. Too much pressure from Natives there which doesnt make me feel very safe, plus the crime rate there is out of control!

*We did enjoy it last time because we booked a snorkel tour with Carnival so we could tender right off the ship to the snorkel boat but I don't think that counts since we never actually went to the port*

Nassau. too crowed. Every time we've sailed to Nassau we had 4 to 6 ships docked with us.

Nassau - Stayed on the ship last time I sailed there.

 

Also not sure if I would get off the ship in Belize again. Been there a couple of times and have done the zipline/cave-tubing thing and also did the Raiders of the Lost Mayan caves tour. Not sure what else I'd want to do there. Maybe check out one of the beaches. But I definitely do NOT want to do another 3 hour round trip ride in the back of a rickety old school bus on gravel roads! But I am glad that I went to Belize and think that there are some really cool things to do there.

I did the Mayan ruins that start with an X. It's a 2 hour drive in a bus with freezing cold or no AC since it didn't work. Terrible drive each way.

Probably Freeport. Just not a lot to do there? Waste of time IMO.

Nassau and Belize!

Wow, I'm really surprised to see how many people dislike Belize! We were just there a few months ago and loved it! I only saw the pier area, though. After we got off the tender, we got right back on another boat and went snorkeling with the sharks and rays. The snorkeling was incredible.

 

For those of you who disliked it, was it the city itself? Just curious. Loved, loved, loved our day in Belize! I'm so excited to go back next fall. We'll go on a different snorkeling excursion then.

Freeport. Nothing to do there unless you wanna get s-faced at Senor Frogs. Would rather spend an extra day in Nassau.

Nassau and Freeport...dont like the beaches in either port and not much else to do.

1. Nassau - just way too many people in your face in the port and not enough to do there.

 

2. Belize - Tendering is a bummer, nothing to do close to port and the port is just terrible
