Photos of new-and-improved Eurodam?

We just got back home, we were on the New Years cruise 12/27-1/3 onboard Eurodam. It was a great cruise and I really liked the upgrades. We were only in an outside HH.

The new pizza is much better than the old one. It's made to order and you get a buzzer when you order just like in the Dive-in. The pizza could have tasted a little more, but atleast it's fresh now and you can composer your own if you want to. Didn't try the salad but tried the Panna cotta, it was acceptable.

It's still the old logo on the smoke stacks.

I can post some more and larger photos of the new interiors if anyone is interested? I have a couple of photos from Lincoln center stage (not very good photo though), Lido restaurant (minor changes), Gallery bar and Billboard onboard.

I think they actually changed many things, but it's difficult to detect/ figure it out. Was onboard last summer for a ship tour, but it's difficult to remember the details. Should have taken more photos both the last time and now this time.

So glad to hear the pizza has improved!

Is there still a dance floor in Gallery Bar?

Enjoy seeing the photos of the changes on Eurodam as we have been on her to do 5 cruises including a trans Atlantic, Caribbean for the Holidays and her repositioning to Port Everglades in 08 after doing her 1st Canada/New England season.

Mom & I are now home for a week after spending 2 weeks on board Nieuw Amsterdam for our 28th year in a row at sea for the Holidays (booked for 16-17 on Koningsdam).

One observation regarding the changes involving the pizza is that for people who may just want to get a slice or two like we did at times can no longer do this. Found this to be very dissapointing as having a whole pizza made was too much and would have been a lot of waste. The only way we had our pizza was when I found a area in the lido set up more with a kids menu of items for dinner and it included being able to get smaller slices of pizza so brought a couple slices back to our cabin on a couple of occasions to share with mom. Was a little snack before going to Crows Nest for drinks before going to dinner.

Laurino,

Welcome Back !!!

I, for one, would be interested in your photos of the changes. We will be on board in a couple weeks and then again in October.

No I don't think so. There was some unfurnished space in the bar area, but I don't think it was intended for dancing. The "On location" newsletter stated that the DJ was playing in the Queen's Lounge each night after 11pm (directly after BB King's), so I think they have simply "moved" all the dancing there (before & after BB King's). However we didn't attend, only went to the BB King's performances earlier in the evening (which were very popular and many danced then).

Thank you Ray. Ok, here are some pictures of the new interiors. Sorry if some of the pictures are unclear about the changes.

Some general changes (not obvious from the pictures): Lots of new carpeting. Lots of ceiling lights changed to LED, generally brighter inside at night, especially in the Lido. The MDR ceiling has been replaced from the sculpture type to differently colored and lighted glass panes, but sorry I have no picture of it, we're open seating. New really clear signage on white signs and in the new type font allover the ship, especially in the elevator lobbies, with large white illuminated signs with deck plans sections and directions - instead of the former plaques/ tan/ brownish signs, sorry no picture of them.

We were only in an outside HH, but we had a new large TV on the wall straight from the bed. The new interactive TV system is great, it's really fast, it has weather for the ports and a zoomable itinerary map. No more DVD player and "Ship flicks", there is a movie library in the TV system instead. There are speciality restaurant menus, but they proved inaccurate, and no MDR menus. No account statements.

I think the Queen's Lounge has new chairs, but the sofas are the same.

The Explorer's Lounge has had a slight makeover to Lincoln Center Stage. I don't know if there was a stage before? There's wood paneling on the wall behind the stage. There are now rows of more chairs, instead of the little seating groups before. There's also a sort of glass railing/ wall to the corridor, which was a bit annoying since it's nice to stop in the corridor and listen to Adagio while on one's way to/from MDR - but now it's more difficult to see the stage.

The Lido restaurant mostly has new signs for the stations, brighter LED ceiling lights and a new way for table setting - nice new glasses and napkins, tables are always set with glasses and also mugs during breakfast. Silverware is folded into the napkins, outside rolled and no glasses - like before. Inside, it looked very nice and inviting. Food doesn't appear to have been changed or moved even though stations now have names.

As you already know, the Sports bar and Piano bar has been combined to a large bar - Billboard onboard, which is open to the Casino. It looked very nice. Only one piano so far, no dueling pianos yet.

And Northern Lights disco has been replaced with the Gallery Bar, which is absolutely gorgeous with very funny art on the walls.
