Drink of the Day?

Apologies if this has already been asked- I have searched - but not found?!

 

So, what happened to Drink of the Day in the Souvenir Glass.... I know when I was on Anthem bars would have a drink of the day - but no advert or poster to tell you what it was. Silly I know, but I kind of missed that. It was a good way to "try" something you might not normally have considered - and the picture gave you an indication of if it was your sort of drink.

 

They are also not mentioned on Cruise Compass either??

Maybe it's something different on Anthem, but I've seen the DOD mentioned in the Cruise Compass on other ships.

Just came off the Serenade and did not have a drink of the day mentioned in the compass. There was some blurb about asking individual bars about any drink special. We didn't bother. I think there was some sort of discount for margaritas at Rita's cantina during certain hours of the day and I also think there was a special morning price for bloody Mary's.

 

Just for information – there was a daily drink special on our November Enchantment cruise. I don't remember the exact price but I remember posting about it. It was in the $12 + gratuity range.

Indy had a drink of the day last March but it didn't have a reduced price. It was $10.00 just like the other drinks.

Just off 12 Day Holidays cruise on Serenade. Each day's Cruise Compass had the following note.

 

"DAILY DRINKS SPEICALS

Each of our fantastic venues onboard offer their own Daily Drink Speical, specially chosen by your beverage team from their drink menu. Save 20% and the Souvenir Glass is yours to keep."

On my Anthem cruise I was at the pool bar, someone walked up and asked what's the drink of the day. The bartender said there is no drink of the day.

I think the DOD promotion is fading away with the pushing of the Drink Packages. On Brilliance in November and no mention of DOD or people with glasses, but if you asked at a bar they knew what the DOD was.
