Last year I was on Enchantment and they stated they had an escargot shortage. Instead, scallops were the replacement. We are going on Indy a week from today, can anyone report on this?? :) thanks!

We did a B2B on the Adventure March/April 2015 and the Jewel September 2015. No escargot shortage on those sailings.

We were on the Indy in October of 2015 and they offered it every night.

Just got off Freedom on Dec 20th...had escargot every night!

Great to hear there is no shortage. Freedom in 36 days and plan on eating them every night! Had them last year every night and totally enjoyed them.

I enjoyed escargot every evening on the Navigator 12-26-15. There is a caveat that it could be unavailable due to availability on the menu.

Just off Xmas and New Year Cruise on the Jewel - Escargot on menu every night and available - the shortage now seems to be shrimp - very tiny tiny shrimp when served with the Lobster dinner and NO shrimp cocktails on the menu.

snails?....scallops?.......both frozen and swimming in butter and garlic......what does it matter? Now if the snails were fresh......YUMMMMM...

On Adventure there was no shortage on Dec 5th cruise. There was a lobster shortage however. Only 1per person on lobster night.

In Oct on the Allure they only had it on the second gala night.

On freedom last thanksgiving had escargot and scallops every night and yes they were different

On Indy before Christmas and escargots was plentiful !!!

Majesty last November had plenty. They were quite tasty. The shortage on that sailing was certain of the desserts. They ran out of one. :eek: Don't recall which. :cool: I was thankfully able to drown my sorrows in eating two others. :p :rolleyes:

But if the shortage happens again, you can always go this route instead!

We had several orders in October. On the Enchantment. Hope they are available for you as well..

Yes, that was odd on the Adventure on that sailing- 2 people in our party did not even order the lobster, and they still restricted the rest of the party to one lobster tail that night.

 

Now if you want REALLY tasty lobster, we found it at Vintages on the Freedom- they serve grilled Maine lobster there, as opposed to the Caribbean lobster in the MDR. It was fabulous!
