This was the toffee panacotta - one dish but four takes on the dish! Fantastic and innovative, we loved it :)

 

Thank you, and thank you for the fabulous review! I guess I got confused. I know you mentioned toffee panacotta, and I recognized a panacotta on the right, but the other items looked like neither toffee or panacotta, so I wasn't seeing how they tied in.

 

The Solstice is one of the ships that features the Hot Glass Show, isn't it? Did you get to see any of the shows?

At Isle Of Pines as soon as you are off the tender, you are right at the first front beach. Walk just along the paved road 1 minute and you're at the souveneir shops. One more minute walk and you're at the beach. It's a fantastic beach and cruise.

 

Sounds perfect! Here's hoping that most of the passengers will disperse and not stick to the first beach.

I actually find that most go to the back beach with the snorkelling and picturesque sacred rock. As we're not fussed about snorkelling, this front beach is just beautiful :)

 

Just be aware of falling coconuts!

It definitely was a very different take on a toffee panacotta!

 

This was our second Solstice cruise, we also cruised on Solstice on March 2015. We saw the glass blowing show then and thought it was great, but as glass blowing is, it's a slow show. We watched one and felt it dragged on, so we didn't see another show this time.

Just wondering if you noticed when you were in the casino, if there were poker tables with dealers or do they have the electronic cards/dealers?

I already have a cruise booked for April (with RCI) but I'm so tempted to make another booking now! [emoji41]

 

Sorry I didn't see much in the casino! There were a lot of tables so I'll hope and say there was a standard poker somewhere? Sorry!

thank you for your very detailed review and all your photographs.

we were also on that Nov 26th cruise and we loved it.

the food in the MDR was very good. the steaks were so delicious that I had them twice......not because of poor choices on those nights but because I enjoy a well prepared steak.

we found the ice creams at the OceanView buffet to be of very good quality (for complimentary offerings).

had oyster chowder at the buffet one lunch time......yummy!

did you sample the hamburgers at the Mast Grill? brilliant!!

we did not feel pressured to buy food/drink packages or have our photos taken during this cruise.

Very glad to hear you also enjoyed yourself on the cruise! I definitely agree that there wasn't any pressure to buy anything. If you wanted something, hey were there to help. But they weren't waving things in front of you.

 

No I actually didn't get to try Mast Grill! I was wanting to though. Glad to hear the offerings were fantastic!

Yes, they had the card tables electronic and with a dealer/croupier.:D

Great review! It will be interesting to see how the three tier drinks package plays out. We also upgrade to premium to enjoy some of the more expensive wines while only paying the difference.

Thanks so much for your great review. It brought back memories of our Reflection Med cruise in May last year. The ship looks very similar. I've only done one cruise with them but I do love Celebrity! I would love to do a top end/around Australia cruise (Syd-Fremantle) in 2017 but they don't seem to be doing it or maybe it's too early to tell just yet. (They do have one leaving this March :D)
