I can only remember one time when we had wind chills of -40. It was back in the early nineties. Schools were closed. Malls had limited hours. Many businesses shut down.

 

Our state was in a natural gas crisis.

 

I don't ever want to see wind chills like that again.

 

That's funny. I went out and bought cat food so Princess Sochi wouldn't go hungry in our absence. LOL

I cannot seem to find the Westerdam on the Key West Harbor webcam. Am I looking in the wrong place?

We are having a big storm in Clewiston - hour west of FLL - no electricity. Maybe that is why all the ships are early.

 

My cousin lives in Venus, FL - he said it was a heck of a storm that went through there.

I drove through Venus on my way down, good thing I didn't blink. :D Unless there is more town away from US27.

 

One thing in our favor this morning, as the storm roared through and we lost our lights, it was getting light and so open the curtains and you could still se.

There were two ships that were supposed to be in Key West today and neither seem to be there. I wonder if they had to cancel because of the storm.

Westerdam seems to be just north of Cuba, I would guess they skipped Key West and are on their way to Jamaica.
