rusky123 Posted July 20, 2016 #52 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Tried to book the YC on Seaside for NYE 2017 but fully booked already :(. The YC cabins are smaller than suites on most other cruise lines, more like a luxury balcony cabin, but what the heck, the service is the same if not better, cannot fault any member of staff on MSC. I know on one cruise forum I visited about 10 years ago someone actually recorded their butler unpacking their clothes. Sad people. I like the YC very much, it is a lot less expensive than most other cruise lines. I am torn between the entertainment on NCL, love the Haven there as well, and the food on MSC, so good.:D I am off to google packing cubes. Retiredprofessor Posted July 23, 2016 #53 Share Posted July 23, 2016 We just came off of our first MSC cruises in the YC on Divina. We are D+ on Royal and really didn't know what to expect. I agree with most of what has been said about the butler service. I felt they were great. My husband drinks rum and that was something that wasn't offered in the minibar. Every afternoon our butler would arrive with a glass of "water" (rum) for him to make his afternoon cocktail. In my mind special service included in your experience. Overall loved the YC! Rare Beamafar Posted August 21, 2016 #56 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Yacht club sounds great cant wait to try it on the Seasode It's everything you've read about .............. and more!! You're bound to love it. I've yet to read a negative review of YC. There may be very minor issues, but they are dwarfed by the overall experience. Then, when you factor in the cost - well...... it's amazing value for what's offered.
deliver42 Posted August 21, 2016 #57 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I think the only negative of the YC on the Divina is that LeMuse is in the back of the ship, but that is corrected on the Seaside. Everything will be in the YC.
Rare Beamafar Posted August 21, 2016 #58 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Same for Meravilgia - a proper enclave as opposed to existing YC area/s on Fantasia Class.
mafig Posted August 21, 2016 #59 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I think the only negative of the YC on the Divina is that LeMuse is in the back of the ship I keep reading that the first day the butler escorts you to leMuse so you know the way. Isn't it just straight back to the end of the deck?
deliver42 Posted August 21, 2016 #60 Share Posted August 21, 2016 If you want to go outside it's straight back, but if you don't want to be blown away, you have to go down to 7 and then go back, and to to 15.
xxHadleyxx Posted August 21, 2016 #61 Share Posted August 21, 2016 This might not be the best place to ask this--sorry if the butler would not be the one doign this: We sai in the YC on Splendida in two weeks. My understanding is that MSC serves Pepsi in Europe, which I hate. Other than Coke, the main thing I relaly like to drink is freshly brewed iced tea (any black tea will do). Would it be totally out of line and overly demanding or just not ok in genreal, in the YC, to ask that in the lounge they brew me tea daily (or when I get there) and bring it and enough ice to make it cold? I'd really rather tea than alcohol most of the time between meals and with lunch (maybe some aperol sprtiz with afternoon snacks).

They had a nice selection of teas that they steeped right at your table and a tray of snacks to go along with it. I would imagine that they would also make one for you at other times of the day. The butlers were all very accommodating!!
