Rare pinotlover Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Considering a cruise on the Nautica in a PH3 and looking at one of the rear suites, probably 8065. My question is, on this ship, or its sister, how much noise should I expect from the Terrace Restaurant right above me. Dinner is not much of an issue, but would hate a lot of extra noise as soon as breakfast starts. Are all of the PH suites under the Terrace subject to much noise? Mura Posted January 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2016 The only noise we have heard in these locations is furniture being moved. You certainly do NOT hear people eating... although I'm not sure that is what you were asking!

Actually, it is the two Owners Suites on Deck 8, and the two A1 cabins tucked between them which get the brunt of the morning noise, because of their position under the outdoor terrace of the Terrace Restaurant (wooden chairs versus wooden deck, you know). The staff have standing instructions to keep the cleaning quiet, but passengers will occasionally get ambitious about combining tables and such. The tables inside the Terrace Restaurant sit on carpeted floors, with the "work areas" confined to the center of the ship (think across the hall from your penthouse). These photos are of the Insignia, but the layout is the same for any R ship.

We have been in aft PH3s before (and will be again in March-April), and have never had any issue(s) with noise from above. Full disclosure: We are early risers. Playalover Posted January 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Hola! We stayed on the same ship design with Azamara last summer in 8066 and were worried about noise too. We didn't hear a sound! It's a great location.

Any other bright ideas?:confused::confused:

RJB Posted January 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2016 It happens, believe me! I will take your word for it, but I have never seen it on 8 cruises that we have been on. By the way, great pictures. I am hungry already.

These can then be put together for a larger rectangular table.
