trying to plan a bday cruise, there is a group probably 10ish going. we went on the carnival triumph last year and had a blast. big thing we didn't like is hot tubs didn't stay open at nighttime.

it is safe to say we drink and like to have a good time, we were kinda the live of the pool last time durning the day. i know carnival is known for that was wondering what would RC be like, is there our age people, how is the late night activities do they have bars that stay open. or is everyone in bed by 11.

just curious of some pros and cons of both i guess

also the food we like to eat and we did like having set dinner table in the dinning room everyday so they we could all meet up there

Royal will certainly have people your age on board. You can party by the pool all you like. There will be music there. Take a look at Freedom, Voyager or Oasis class ships. I do know the next ship we are going on, Liberty, will have new water features including water slides. On Oasis class, you can climb the rock wall and zip line. If you go, don't miss Quest. It really is a blast for your ages. Be prepared to laugh your heads off. It's better after a few drinks. Each ship is different and will have a different vibe.

Seems like Royal has more people your age and fewer little kids than Carnival or Disney.

Liberty of the Seas is a much better ship than Carnival Breeze, and a lot less crowded. The entertainment is better and the live music is better. Plus, with the addition of the waterslides and boomerang slide to Liberty, there will be no advantage to Breeze. And yes, there are nightclubs that stay open late.

But that said, a large group of people in your age range are better suited to cruise Carnival. You should stick with Breeze. Go on RCI with the family.

I would chose Liberty. We are going on the Allure in June and plan the Liberty for our next cruise. Our last cruise we did the Navigator and stayed up late every night. The comedy shows and games shows were awesome...seemed to always be something going on.

Welcome to Cruise Critic Sir Walnuts_79,

You should definitely cruise on Liberty, great ship, delicious food with lots of choices. Tons of things to do on board and plenty of lounges and activities planned throughout the night.

Convenient for you out of nearby Galveston, Texas. Book the Liberty, you'll love her.
