I agree with you completely

I'm glad at least one here agrees. I bet we will find so many with Status will disagree. They will say without them, the Ships would all sink. I wonder if you look at cruisers over the long term, Suite Guests will typically spend more dollars on their vacations over those that have higher status. I would love to see some statics of this, as a stock holder, maybe I should ask.

Only if there is plenty of room for Suite guests.... Suite guests should have top priority over all.... regardless of status....

Which Suite guests? Are all suites equal

Oasis of the Seas - March 4,2018

GS - $4,004

CL - $5,604

A4 - $6,005

OS - $6,005

SL - $10,804

GL - $12,204

OL - $13,804

FWIW, a Grand Suite is closer in price to an inside ($1,496) than it is to an Owners Loft ;)

It would increase revenue by enabling Diamond or above cruises to reconsider the value of a drink package. As it stands anyone that enjoys the 3 drink vouchers or early evening lounge access are basically giving that away that benefit by the purchasing of a Drink Package, and therefore they are more unlikely to buy one.

Some of us do like to enjoy a drink poolside during the day, and wine with our dinner and a late night tipple as we relax after dinner. ( YES in addition to our pre-dinner cocktail ) therefore a reduced package price would make it viable, whereas at current rates it is not.

It would also encourage more people to rise up though the loyalty ladder, because of the additional benefit.

I'm not sure how giving discounted drink packages to anyone would increase revenue. Those who don't drink still aren't going to get it. Those who drink 2-3 drinks in a day maybe, but those are more likely to just use their freebie's in the evening anyway.

It is one of the benefits of reaching Pinnacle, so they both have equal access. The number of suite guests are fixed while the number of Pinnacle guest can vary.

No, I'm not Pinnacle and no I'm not close to becoming Pinnacle.

And always subject to change. I've personally not had an issue with the lounges for Suite Guests and D and above. We only book 2 into our Suite, generally a GS. I hope it never becomes an issue for us. I would complain if the lounge was overwhelmed with people and no seats available, It should be a great place for Suite Guest to go and relax.

Well, only the bigger ships offer those higher level suites outside of the GS/OS/RS on most ships. I still would love to see what a D and above, especially P, spend $$ over a year on cruises compared to a Suite Guest who enjoys 3 to 4 cruises a year. I'm sure RCCL has it figured out.

Here is what most people don't understand. Most all companies that are publicly traded have goals in this order, $ by OTR, $ Annually, $ Year to Year. Although loyalty is nice and good for most companies, it is really not one of their primarily goals to stockholders. Stockholders want to know what you are doing for me today and not what you did in the past. It is always good to have repeat business. Most all cruises sail full or nearly full. Would that change much if they decreased the status perks? I personally doubt it. Somebody will take the cabin.

EVERYTHING is subject to change. There is separate Diamond Lounge for Diamonds, D+ and Pinnacles.

Where there is a lot of status people on board, they open up other lounges to accommodate the extra people.

Many of the Pinnacles go on 20+ cruises per year, and easily outspend someone going on 3-4 cruises per year in a suite. Many of the Pinnacles book suites. It would take 50 years for someone to become Pinnacle if they only went on two cruises per year in a non-suite.

I was talking about as a whole... all people with Status against those that book Suites, their spending per year on everything, Specialty Restaurants, Shore Excursions through RCCL, Drinks and drink packages, casino play, Store Sales (both on board and ports of call), tips, and other things..

Yes, I know port of call sales is not a direct income to the ships, but I am sure it has an impact somewhere that the ships see is some way.

But only two years if they went of 50 ;)

Thanks for the heads up, but that's not what I asked.

I will be on Serenade in April of 2017 in the RS.

That ship has 15 GS's, 5 OS's, 3 TS's and 1 RS

Let's say the lounge is exclusively Suite guests. And it's full, should you as a GS passenger give me your seat? Of course not, that is not how it works.

So don't expect to have a PC member do that for you.

I would never ask a guest to give me their seat.....

I am still interested in the amount of dollars $$$ in one form or another that Suite guests spend on their cruises compared to those that don't book Suites . It would be nice to compare including those with status.

Wouldn't you like to know? All the time, those with status talk about how loyal they are to RCCL, and I believe RCCL does quite well with their status and points with perks. But, some, think they mean more to RCCL's bottom line than anyone else. What someone bought in the past is just that, in the past. It doesn't reward stock holders today.

Since your back on the photo kick you really should post some more of Bella.:);)

I really don't want to poke the bear. Anyway, just follow the Instagram link. Lots of new ones. Also a pretty good rocket launch from Saturday night ;)

If you are referring to all people who are Diamond and above compared to just suite passengers and include all spending, then the status people would easily outspend the suite passengers. I don't normally go in a suite, but I still buy shore excursions through the ship, I still buy photographs, I still go to specialty restaurants I still shop in the ship's store, I still buy drinks ...

I saw the rocket launch on another thread. Awesome photo. We've been lucky enough to be in Canaveral or NSB to see a few launches. The night ones are spectacular.
