pbrady Posted February 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I posted this on the Celebrity Forum but I thought I'd try here too. We have consecutive cruises scheduled, first, a 7 day,out of Port Everglades then a 14 day out of the Port of Miami. We disembark at Port Everglades & leave from the Port of Miami on the same day. Any hints on the best way to transfer? There are 4 of us & I'm hoping we can all go together. Some suggested going back to the airport & catching one of the shuttles to the Port of Miami & some suggested public transportation but we really don't want to drag all the luggage through transfer points or on & off public transportation. beerman2 Posted February 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Have you thought about Uber? At some point you will have to lug your suitcases. SAS, QLS, Jiffyjeff might be a couple of option to look at. Maybe even look into private limo services.
Rare LHT28 Posted February 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2016 since there are 4 of you a taxi may work it will probably run you $80 + a shuttle is $15 pp plus getting a taxi to FLL (about $15) so you have more steps involved for about the same price Private car service Larry's Limo, John's car service & others mentioned here
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2016 pbrady, This is the URL for Larry's Limo Service. http://www.larryslimo.com As LHT28 mentioned this one has been recommended often on this board. Keith
JohninDC Posted February 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Taxi or Uber - but with 4 plus bags, especially if any in your group packs like my wife :o, you'll need a van/SUV cab or UberXL. Larry's Limos (linked above) or private car service from Go Airport or Holland Limo are other good options.
pbrady Posted February 12, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Thanks Everyone - Someone on another site mentioned Larry's Limo but said it was about $200. I have looked at many options suggested & getting a van/taxi appears to be the cheapest & requires no side trips. Taxi fare finder shows about $95 (incl a 15% tip) - not bad divided by 4. Most shuttles I checked can go from FLL to either Port Everglades or the Port of Miami OR from MIA to either Port Everglades or the Port of Miami but are not allowed to go port to port. Thanks again & Happy Cruising!!

Cruiser Who Knows Nothing Posted February 12, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I'd just take a cab for something like this.
Langley Cruisers Posted February 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Try googling some limousine services and contact them for a rate. :)
BlueHerons Posted February 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I would go with Uber.
pbrady Posted February 12, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Just FYI - when I entered the request on Uber, the rate was more than Taxi Fare Finder.

In normal traffic, the cab will cost you $80 without tip. Uber is only $35-50. I have no idea how it is coming up higher. You must be checking during surge pricing.
