I am assuming they were being used for luggage; almost every center elevator said "reservation" on the deck indicator, and the ones that were working never stopped when you pressed the button. It probably took us 10 minutes to figure out how to get to the buffet.

 

That's princess' schtick -- during embarcation, they put most of

the forward and mid-ship elevators in special service, add a driver,

and bring them quickly back to the deck where people are embarking.

 

This is annoying if you wish to use them in any other manner.

just have to wait for a few more refits, opps dry docks to get rest of the ship right.
