Anthem: no holes in SeaPass cards?

If there is a hole in the card, you can attach a bungee lanyard to it

That is to ensure, one takes their card out of the slot machine, when they leave.

Instead of walking the length of the ship twice and 12 decks before realizing it:o

On the Quantum class ships, you do not insert your card into a slot machine. (and since those are the ships that have the technology that means that you really shouldn't be punching holes in it, that's what I'm talking about). You just tap. :)

Does that mean the newer RFID cards won't demagnetize like if carried in the same pocket as a phone? That would be really nice.

There's nothing to demagnetize - all the info is on a chip inside the card, not on the mag stripe. Now, that doesn't mean you might not have issues and the card stops working - it just isn't caused by the mag stripe.
