TNCruzer56 Posted February 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2016 I just heard from our independent tour operator in Belize City and he mentioned that NCL is notoriously slow in the tender process there. Any comments appreciated. TIA
ColinIllinois Posted February 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Is NCL the slowest tenderizer in Belize??? Sounds like a question for the cooking forum.
outtabux Posted February 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Yes. We were there 3 weeks ago. We were the third cruise ship to arrive so maybe that was part of the problem. The tender ride is also 15 minutes so the turn around is not very fast. They only had 2 boats the first hour or so and finally added a third. Rare Keith1010 Posted February 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2016 We were there on another line in January and it is a long tender trip. Keith

Safetyal Posted February 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Having been to Belize several times, I plan on staying on the ship this time. Add in the UBP, I am pretty sure I will be tenderized by the time we depart. In my past experience, all of the tenders in Belize tend to be slow, regardless of which line you sail. don't-use-real-name Posted February 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2016 When I was on the NCL DAWN January 2015 the tender service at Belize was by PRIVATE CONTRACTOR - NCL did not use it's own Life Boats for the tender operation. OH and the weather was raining like a bat out of hell whatever that is and horizontal monsoon sheets of rain and the Contract Tender Service was using open canopy tenders - Everyone going to and from shore was drenched like drowned rats. The rain not from Spain was cold and shiver me timbers not comfortably warming in any way. My report - I came - I saw - I got wet - and I left with no regrets ! The port was about 3-4 miles away and the trips were taking 20 or so minutes doing real good time servicing 4 ships*. * Noted that there were 4 ships visiting that same day: NCL SUN Carnival Pride Carnival Conquest and the NCL DAWN - I was on. We have come from Roatan and our next port of call was Costa Maya.
