Just wondering how far the mud volcanic baths are from the cruise ship port and how much should one expect to pay for a taxi?

It's about 30 miles. We did an excursion through the cruise line and enjoyed the experience a lot.

This was one of the things that interested me about this port, but reading that there are lots of people there who want to give you massages swayed me away from it.

It was popular with the backpacking crowd when we were there, as mentioned above if you let any locals touch you then you are expected to pay and they want you to pay to watch your stuff
