Unfortunately Celebrity docks at Pan AMerican pier. To get anywhere, you need to take a taxi. Zones are set up for taxi fares. Even a short ride can be expensive. A one zone is $10. Two zones $15. We stayed in San Juan prior to sailing in January. Taxi drivers try to up the fares. Always ask what the fare is before entering the taxi. A ride from the pier to old San Juan is supposed to be $15. In Old San Juan, the US national park service runs free trolleys that provide good transportation. The trolley stops are posted on poles. Download a route map. Also, at El Morro, there is a free tram from the trolley stop uphill to the entrance. Old San juan is worth seeing. museums, forts, shops, restaurants, and beautiful architure are a real treat. Enjoy!
