Bdrex95 Posted April 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Just got back from a week on the Freedom. I'm going to try to pull together a trip report, but in the mean time, if you have any questions, feel free to ask away. FWIW, we had a GREAT time!:D

I'm going to try to pull together a trip report, but in the mean time, if you have any questions, feel free to ask away. FWIW, we had a GREAT time!:D Following. We're sailing on the Freedom next Feb, so look forward to hear how your experience was. Had a question on trivia games: is there a certain location on the ship where they have these games? The Fun Times that I have seen show them being played at many different locations. Also - Is the Habana Bar smoking or non-smoking? Thanks! Bdrex95 Posted April 4, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Following. We're sailing on the Freedom next Feb, so look forward to hear how your experience was. Had a question on trivia games: is there a certain location on the ship where they have these games? The Fun Times that I have seen show them being played at many different locations. Also - Is the Habana Bar smoking or non-smoking? Thanks! You stumped me already... LOL! We didn't do any of the games, so I don't have that answer. And I only walked by the Habana Bar, but never actually went in. I didn't see anybody smoking in there. You can smoke cigars in the outside smoking areas. I bought one in Cayman, with the intention to smoke it on board, but never got the chance. I'll have to smoke it on my deck at home...
Bdrex95 Posted April 4, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Very excited to read your trip report we leave on her next March !:D If you have any Circle C info would really appreciate it! So, I guess I'm not going to be much help after all, LOL! I have 2 kids the right ages for Circle C, but they wanted nothing to do with it. If they would have tried, they probably would have enjoyed it, but they didn't want to, and we didn't push them. So, no info there, sorry!
Mytime2014 Posted April 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2016 we are sailing on Saturday! So excited. I'm mostly interested in knowing how the service was - rooms and food does it feel crowded? As of today, there are only 24 rooms not booked and I bet they fill those up! Is it just swarming with people everywhere? I'm hoping for some peace and quiet maybe on Serenity... Bdrex95 Posted April 4, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) we are sailing on Saturday! Is it just swarming with people everywhere? I'm hoping for some peace and quiet maybe on Serenity... Saturday will come quick! The following Saturday will come even quicker. :( I don't know how many rooms were vacant on our cruise, but my guess is that there weren't many, as this is spring break time. It was crowded, but not crazy. The only time it really felt crowded was the muster drill. Serenity seemed like it always had chairs available. The main area around the main pool with the video screen filled up all 3 sea days, but there were always chairs in other areas. We got there by 10 or 1030 each day and were able to find 4 or 5 chairs together on deck 10 overlooking the pool, near the dj stand. Seems like they do a pretty good job of keeping people spread out. The only other place that felt crowded was on deck 5, walking around before our late dinner seating. With all the people trying to get their photos taken and people coming and going from dinner seatings, it got a little crazy around there a few times too. But overall, not bad, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Have a great trip! Edited April 4, 2016 by Bdrex95
webehicks Posted April 4, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Trivia was in the Swingtime Lounge, deck 5 aft and by the lobby bar, deck 3 forward.

cruzelover55 Posted April 4, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 4, 2016 We go in September. Smallest ship we have ever booked. But, you have already commented on that. What were your ports of call and what excursions did you do, if any? Looking forward to your review! Unless it has changed since the time I looked it up. Smoking is in Centuries Bar, 70's Nightclub and Swingtime Lounge. If you do a search that let's you pan around the bars, you can actually see ashtrays on the tables. Outside smoking on Deck 3 and 10. Some need to know this, to use the area, some to stay away from it!:)
CoutoPartyof4 Posted April 5, 2016 #16 Share Posted April 5, 2016 Following. We're sailing on the Freedom next Feb, so look forward to hear how your experience was. Had a question on trivia games: is there a certain location on the ship where they have these games? The Fun Times that I have seen show them being played at many different locations. Also - Is the Habana Bar smoking or non-smoking? Thanks! Havana Bar is smoking. We would go there in between comedy shows. Trivia is held in a few places throughout the ship some were even in the atrium. I hope you have a great time I loved the Freedom! Bdrex95 Posted April 5, 2016 Author #18 Share Posted April 5, 2016 So, with the casino, Centuries bar, 70's nightclub, and Swingtime Lounge being smoking venues, I guess I won't be using deck 5 much :-) Deck 5 was very smoky. As soon as you stepped off the elevator you got hit with it. Didn't bother me much, but the wife and kids didn't like it. Once you got to the main atrium area by the fun shops, it seemed to dissipate quite a bit. But, very noticeable in the casino area of the deck. Bdrex95 Posted April 5, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted April 5, 2016 We go in September. Smallest ship we have ever booked. But, you have already commented on that. What were your ports of call and what excursions did you do, if any? Looking forward to your review! It will all be in my review, but the short version is: Cozumel - Dolphin Push, Pull, Swim and lunch, and the kids did zip lining too. Grand Cayman - Stingray City and Snorkeling Montego Bay - Dunns River Falls and Tubing on the White River. All were absolutely fantastic, and worth every penny! The review might take me a little while. I want to get it completed before I start posting. I've tried to do reviews before, and I get a few days into them, then get sidetracked and people get frustrated with me. I hate it when people do that, I get emotionally invested in a review, and then they just stop in the middle. So, I want to avoid that. :D
