nyfeds Posted April 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) I'd appreciate input on the various massages offered. Substanital differences in costs and wondering if the cost difference makes a big difference in the quality of the massage. What is a ABHYANGA MASSAGE? Thanks! nyfeds Posted April 26, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted April 26, 2016 The only reason we are considering massages is because of a large OBC. Otherwise, pretty cost-prohibitive.

sanmyn Posted April 27, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 27, 2016 I had a nice massage aboard the Nautica but had to shut my eyes on the price. I am a retired American living in Thailand and massages are $3 to $15. Much more aboard but the atmosphere is a 10+.
S2000ap1 Posted April 27, 2016 #16 Share Posted April 27, 2016 No I don't have to use the ships services, that does not mean that I shouldn't consider the charges to be excessive ! I can go to my local fully qualified physio, chirpractor, blah blah blah and get specific treatments or general massage for relief of sports injuries of for relaxation for considerably less than these charges. Let alone on holiday in some very nice 5 star hotels where charges have been some what less. The,problem here is one is captive and it just , maybe just makes one feel there lies the problem, no option but to,use the services! Sorry if I dared to critise Oceania. travelglobetrotter Posted April 28, 2016 #19 Share Posted April 28, 2016 I don't recall the prices, but I do remember Siddhu, whose sports massages truly helped my chronic sciatica. I'm hoping to find him on one or both of my future cruises. Best massages ever!! Marlene
