Is there any special way of trying to ask for same cabin??. Its about an extra 400 (each) to pick a specific cabin and that is drink $$ and casino $$. Advise please... If you are lucky enough to get assigned the same exact category, and the same stateroom is available, then you can ask to be moved. Otherwise I would plan on having to move between cruises. Can't ask for any cabin. As Bob mentioned if you are lucky enough to get the same category on each sailing, AND if there are cabins left in the category you MAY be able to change. For $800 I would take the guarantee and change cabins. You may feel differently and I can't tell you how to spend your money. I've changed cabins on almost all my B2B and find it no big deal. In fact we kind of like it as we get a fresh new cabin and a chance to re-organize. In fact one cruise we had the same cabin, and we were upgraded on the second leg. It would be worth $800 for me to move. You actually just pack up your stuff, leave the hanging items on the hanger and everything shows up in your new cabin, which you can access as soon as you get back on board. Thank you everyone for your input and advice .... The Guarantee cabin is such a good saving and there is always a small chance of a win ...probably better than LOTTO !! :) ...that we MAY stay put. So It sounds like moving wont be too much of a drama as i didn't realise your cabin steward would assist. You're probably correct, and I should have mentioned that changing an assigned guarantee stateroom might only be allowed for US/Canadian bookings. Thanks for the catch. I booked the cheapest possible, an inside gty hoping they would keep us in the same room. They did not, we were assigned the lowest cabin available. We sail in about a month and there are lots of rooms available including the PR we are in for week 1. A painfully long and complicated call to the TA and $90 later we were able to upgrade and keep the PR for week 2. We still saved a few hundred dollars and have the convenience of staying in the room we picked. Might be worth the call for you too. Good luck!
