born-to-cruise Posted April 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) Let it be known that Stateroom 7180 on Celebrity Solstice is directly above 6 huge speakers. These speakers are actively used during rehearsal and actual shows. Stumping bass noise is very audible inside the cabin. It is impossible to rest, nap or sleep when the shows are going on. Avoid Stateroom no. 7180 by all means on Celebrity Solstice.... Now you know that you know that you know....... pete_coach Posted April 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) You should post that information on the sticky for S Class cabins. Many people read those and this post will disappear eventually. It is useful information and very good warning or those looking at that cabin. I also suspect the issues would be the same for all S Class ships. Edited April 29, 2016 by pete_coach
Rare Cruise Raider Posted April 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2016 And probably good to know that it is risky to book any cabin with a white space below it or above it. We were above the room service pantry on the Mercury once and below the outdoor grill and under the pool on two different Princess ships -- no more guarantee cabins for us. Under the pool? ... I thought, no problem ... however, the valve to fill the pools was right behind our headboard. OMG -- worst noise ever .... well, equaled only by the other two horribly noisy cabins we were assigned to. All were guarantees. Thanks for the head's up on 7180. Our friends always stay up in that area but in balcony cabins ... so that might be the difference. They've never complained about any noise. Wine-O Posted April 29, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2016 I would imagine it would be the same for all the other inside cabins in that area.

Born-To-Cruise Past Cruises: 12-RCI, 3-Carnival and 1-Celebrity (funds permitting, always looking forward to great cruises) I looked at the deck plans. Cabin 7180 is on deck 7. Deck 8 has more cabins above you. Deck 6 has no cabins below you and Deck 4 and 5 is the theater. regardless, if you felt this is a problem, I still suggest that you add your review to the S Class sticky. BigB0882 Posted April 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2016 Room 7180 is an interior room. There are no interior rooms below it on Deck 6. Deck 5 has the theater. I wonder if that area on deck 6 is open from deck 4 all the way to ceiling of deck 6 to house the speakers and wires and what not. It may explain why it is so loud even though on the deck plans it doesn't appear the theater is just below.
