Homosassa Posted May 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2016 This was available on my 3/19 Divina cruise. I don't have the particulars of the package as I didn't save the information. My husband and I did discuss the plan as we were trying to figure out who would go to a doctor on board ship for what should be routine health care by one's own doctor. There was also a free stretching and aerobics class on deck every morning (which I attended and enjoyed) so that the additional classes were not an enticement. Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted May 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2016 I believe this was offered on my 3/26 Sailing. I'll double check and get details when I sail again next month. I too think this is a game changer in the industry For those of us with adequate health care, the dr. visits aren't a draw at all (but might be if you did not have health care??). I think the concept of moving cruising toward more health/weight conscious travelers might capture a very large (no pun intended) and untapped market. Royal Caribbean snagged some of this market when they introduced high level activities on-board (flow riders, etc..). But to target cruising to those that might want to loose 5 pounds while enjoying a vacation? WHOA....... that opens a whole new realm of possibilities. I applaud MSC for trying this concept out. There is a segment of population that is becoming much more health conscious and I believe MSC is onto something!! GO TEAM MSC!!

gkbiiii Posted May 19, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted May 19, 2016 This is a MSC Seaside benefit.
Xildanis Posted May 19, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 19, 2016 This is a MSC Seaside benefit. The .pdf shows up for the Divina and Meraviglia as well. I almost wonder if it's a mistake based on the Meraviglia having Yacht Club Wellness cabins, as the listed benefits above do include 24 hour butler service as well as marble bathrooms (both I would assume would be strictly Yacht Club, as they currently are). sidari Posted May 19, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) If what is being offered is a Wellness cabin within the YC at comparable prices as on Meraviglia on Deck 14 then you can understand it as there will be few of them. The rest of the Wellness cabins will not have access to the YC as some posters seems to think. What will be interesting to see is whether MSC add Wellness cabins to the YC on Seaside. Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted May 19, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 19, 2016 The more I research this, the more I'm thinking the advertisement is yet another Msc web site glitch. Hopefully it's fixed soon so customers aren't disappointed. They really do need an entirely new IT team :(.
gkbiiii Posted May 19, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted May 19, 2016 MSC needs to match the following, to make Wellness a success: Dining 1. Costa: Samsara Cabins with Samsara Restaurant http://www.costacruise.com/B2C/USA/AboutCruising/suite/suite.htm#novita-2013 2. Celebrity: AquaClass Dining at Blu. http://www.celebritycruises.com/onboard-celebrity/staterooms-aqua-class-stateroom
sidari Posted May 20, 2016 #14 Share Posted May 20, 2016 MSC needs to forget having Wellness cabins in the YC because they are at odds of what the Wellness system is supposed to promote! if they are adamant that they will continue with their usual madness they may as well put Aurea,Fantastica and Bella in the YC and ruin the whole damned thing! And I am not a YC fan, but even I can see the stupidity in their plans.

sidari Posted May 20, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Many people would like to have a separate dining room for Aurea guests but it is never going to happen, there is no profit in another dining room and kitchen for a minority of guests! Skier52 Posted May 21, 2016 #18 Share Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) But...Costa, Celebrity, & Cunard do this for their top cabin levels. Wellness is NOT MSC's "Top" cabin level. In fact wellness appears to be the middle of five levels in their literature and their pricing Matrix Literature:- increasing value as you go down the list. Pricing ,matrix:- Increasing cost as you go from B1 through to YC in the balcony cat. as it is the only one with all five experiences available and so is the only cat. that can be used for comparison. B1 < B2 < BW < B3 < YC Pete PS to gkbiiii If it is not a rude question but:- How may times have you cruised with MSC? Crzyfrk62 Posted May 21, 2016 #19 Share Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) I've done the Celebrity Aqua class but it really is a spa based product 1st with wellness included. Loved Blu, it was nice having that restaurant. It looks as though MSC is truly trying to be more health conscious with this offering. Yes, it would be nice to have a smaller restaurant to accommodate this group but not sure they would do that.
