maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #151 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Oh, I did talk to the casino manager, he didn't have any printed info, but, said you get rewarded based on time and money spent, he mentioned 20% off a future cruise. He said you don't sign up for it, but, they will contact you if you spend enough. How much did the lady who got 30% off spend, did she tell you? apatchetear Posted May 9, 2016 #152 Share Posted May 9, 2016 It's the photographer, not the camera, baby! :D It's a Canon SX600HS, it's red! I don't want or need anything more than a camera that fits in my pocket, I think I do OK with it. Thank you! I have always heard that!! A good photographer can use anything and take good pictures. I guess I am not that good. Lol. I have a Canon Dslr camera with the changeable lenses and my pictures come out weird. I just can't get the settings right. So I figured why lug around that big thing when I may be able to get something small that takes good pictures!! I am loving your review btw. We sail June 4th and can't wait!! Mikesa1721 Posted May 9, 2016 #154 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Stupid camera! The Spanish Navy? Dang, are we at war? Can you get the MED stuff online? I brought home a bar of Lemon hand soap from the WS because it smelled so good. I'm just waiting for a good excuse to use it. Slinging prescriptions at WAG just doesn't seem worthy of it. No Maureen,,,I wish MSC would create an on-Line store!!!

Will I receive the luggage tags in mail? I haven't got anything yet. Will MSC arrange embark time slot for me? Or can I go to Miami port anytime I want? maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #157 Share Posted May 9, 2016 My next order of business was Bingo, I felt lucky. Here is my card, it was one game only, coverall. Here lies my card, torn and tattered, like my dreams. Next up, arts and crafts, box making. The things I do for you people. The crafts were held in the wine bar where the pizza oven is for room delivery. One man asked if we were going to be folding the pizza boxes. :D We were sitting at three different tables, instead of standing where we could all see, the instructor sat at the first table and helped them, while we chatted at my table. After 25 minutes of work, and nothing remotely resembling a box appearing at their table, it occurred to me that I had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for me in my cabin. :D On my way there, I passed through a pretty lounge, the Golden Lounge? It's this crackerjack attention to detail that makes my reviews so informative.
maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #158 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I ran into this man, I don't know who he is, but, I think he's quite mad. Pizza and beer? Why not pizza and wine? I am the God of Pizza and Wine! ;) I looked some more for Mike's diffuser, still didn't find anything, I even broke into Eataly to look in there. I met a man there who also broke in and I heard him telling his wife, it costs $117 per person to eat in there. I told him no, that must have been some kind of package deal for multiple restaurants, but he insisted that he saw the menu and it was $117. So, you know me, an avenger for the people, I broke back in and went to see what the hoohah he was talking about. Dang, I hate it when I'm right. I looked for him to let him know he could get a ribeye for $21, but, I never found him. Remember earlier, I said I needed Italian lessons so I could say even and odd? It was right there the whole time, why are these fools acting like they can't read simple Italian! Also, thank goodness my cabin number is right there on the sign or I'd probably still be wandering the ship.
maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #159 Share Posted May 9, 2016 So, eventually I made it back to my cabin and started working on my chocolate covered strawberries and Prosecco. It's not that I wanted them, but, you know strawberries, they go bad in an hour if you don't eat them. So, I was enjoying my treats earlier when I was posting this afternoon. How do you know when you've had too much Prosecco? When you're sitting on the couch with your glass of Prosecco in your hand and you look across the room to your desk and see your glass of Prosecco sitting next to your laptop. Here's another picture trying to show the size of the balcony. Eventually, I got hungry and wandered up to the buffet. Awww, sweet! Literally! Milk bread rolls? Is that one thing or three different things? Milk. Bread. Rolls. Actually, the bread and the roll is probably one thing, so, add the milk and that would make it two things. But, based on the description, I think I would have just written ham sandwich, but, you know me, I'm just a simple lass. So, of course, I had to try a milkbreadroll. I threw in a burger and fries just in case the milkbreadroll was too overwhelming for my simple tastes.
maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #160 Share Posted May 9, 2016 So, now I was on my way to the show. There was a huge crowd out at the pool on my way forward. Tonight was formal night, so, before the show they introduced the Captain and the senior officers. The Captain spoke and introduced the Employee of the Month. The poor kid looked terrified to be in front of all those people. I've never seen an employee in a yellow uniform, so, I don't know what department he is from, I wish they had said. Full disclosure, I went to the show twice and the second show, the kid came out pumping his fists in the air, grinning like all get out. Maybe he had a few shots of Liquid Courage? The show tonight was The Amazing Mask, based on the Jim Carrey movie. I tried to snap a few, discreet pictures so you could get an idea of what the show was like, but, there was some tut-tutting behind me, so, I kept it to a minimum. You can't go wrong with a hula man. Here is the Mask man. If you remember, in the movie, at one point, his dog puts the mask on and goes wild. Here, they had a man dressed as the dog break dancing while wearing the mask, it was fabulous.
maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #161 Share Posted May 9, 2016 The good mask and the bad mask, was the bad mask a bank robber or something? I need to watch the movie again, it's been a while. Don't even try and tell me that guy in the front is not the same guy who plays Michael Jackson in Starwalker, I'd bet my life on it. So, I came back to my room and found the three pieces of laundry I had sent out yesterday had come back. So, that process seems to be working. Tomorrow morning, I'll send out the shirt and pants i wore today. My steward has been playing with my nightshirt again. It's amazing how the fabric holds the shape of my body, even when I'm not wearing it. :D Ah, geez, now everybody is getting in on the action. After the second show, I went to the Newlywed game, that is always fun. Inexplicably, though, they held it in the Black and White Lounge, not the theater, so, it was standing room only. You couldn't see the people, you couldn't hear the people answering the questions, only the CD repeating what they said. And, to top it off, every few minutes, the whirring of the blenders drowned everything out. So, that could have been better.

Jambat Posted May 9, 2016 #169 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Loving the review, Maureen! It's helping the time go until we sail in 3 weeks :) I wonder if you could help with something? My Dad is keen to buy the 10 bottles of wine package, but the one with a choice from the wine list rather than just the house selection. We can't work out what wine that might include. Can you shed any light on it, or even a photo? Thank you!! x

You're right, I slept till 11! He had to resort to the second oldest trick in the book, let the vacuum cleaner fall against my door to wake me up. He didn't know I was up wrestling with CC till 3am! And November 19. How about giving him a big tip to guard it and I'll pay you back later. I'll do what I can! maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #174 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Monday - Day at Sea- We were rocking and rolling all night, let me tell you! I woke up to a wet balcony and lots of clouds. Today was NOT a day to wear a dress, let me tell you! And, you're welcome to the 3 crew members who were working on the lifeboats when I stepped outside and discovered my satorial error. Once again, the breakfast of oversleeping champions. maureencruiser Posted May 9, 2016 Author #175 Share Posted May 9, 2016 While waiting for lunch, I decided to try and post a little, see if last night's posts ever went through. {{Sigh}} :p The TV is interactive, so, if you forget how much you drank, don't worry, she is keeping track for you. I couldn't get online, maybe due to the storm? So, I headed up to lunch. Pretty desserts. I saw pretzels the first day, have been looking for them ever since. I had gotten a tip from Armando (Sandpiper) that the kid's buffet had calamari and he was right. Oh, gross, kids, it's disgusting, don't eat it. Here, pile it all up on my plate. They also have popcorn shrimp and coconut shrimp occassionally in the kid's buffet.
