mini bar fridge

Are we able to empty the mini bar fridge in our room so we can use it? We are on Legend.

On the Dream two weeks ago minibar was empty and believe this is now fleet wide.

I don't know this for a fact, but, others have posted that they are not very cold. We bring a collapsible cooler, that they keep filled with ice for us. Have always had them lock the mini bar, so there will not be any question as to our removing any of the product. Even doing that, we were charged one time for 2 things we surely did not get, as it was locked. Easy peasy, to take off the bill, since was locked. Did not know that they are empty now. Have I been insisting it stay locked and nothing was even in it?:eek:

We did a B2B on the Dream with 2 different cabins both fridges were cold enough for beer.

Just off the Glory. Our fridge wasn't empty but was very cold. We were able to fit our stuff inside and it kept it cold.

They are supposed to be empty fleet-wide. They will stock it with the pre-purchased water & other items you might purchase before your cruise. I've considered buying a case of water so it will be cold & ready to go on first sea day. :cool:

We ask our steward to empty ours at the beginning do the cruise.

We did order 3 12 packs of water at 3.99 each and it was the best purchase I made!! My husband and I drank everyone and it prevented what might of been some tough hangovers!!

We're on the Legend in Alaska now. The fridge was stocked, but I asked and it was emptied quickly on the first day.

Magic in January ours was still stocked, but was plenty cold enough to keep my purchased beers cold. I just had to replenish as I took one out. Even stocked I could still fit 4-5 cans in.

If you leave the cabinet door ajar it cools better.

I'm getting the impression that the stewards leave the refrigs the way they were from the previous occupants - empty or filled as a minibar. You can ask your steward to have it filled or emptied if it's not the way you want.
