Bathroom Toiletries

I'm off on two Celebrity cruises in the next few months. My second and third on this line. I can't remember how good the toiletries they provide are. I know Royal Caribbean are rubbish and I bring my own and P&O are fine, so I don't. Should I bring my own or not?

Depends what you like. I always bring my own shampoo and body lotion. Soaps offered are ok for me.

Since we don't know why you think some are rubbish and some aren't we have no way to predict whether you will like what you find on Celebrity (is it the scent, the variety, the harshness, what?) I think you should bring your own, at least that will be something you are comfortable with.

Probably the same as on RCL. On X,the brand is Gilchrist and Soames in the regular class cabins. I always bring my own. I wasn't impressed but that's just me.

Even in CC, the toiletries aren't very good IMO. The shampoo was decent enough for DH, but there is no way I'd use it with my hair. The body lotion is super runny. Next time, we're bringing our own. Even Suave body lotion is a lot thicker!

I always take my own shampoo and use the provided one for washing my clothes.

 

I generally take my own body lotion too, but I found we were using so much after a bit of sunbathing that we needed to use the lotion provided. It was super runny, as mentioned earlier, but I enjoyed the fragrance and it worked.

 

I was in a balcony cabin last time and was disappointed to only have soap. I prefer shower gel.

We had a concierge cabin last cruise, soap, body wash, shampoo smelled like sea weed, absolutely disgusting. Fortunately I always travel with my own.

Hallo, the OP hasnt said if the reservation is for a suite or not, which makes a difference in the brand of toiletries provided.

On both cruises I'm in an outside cabin. Nothing fancy. Judging by the replies, I think I'll probably take my own stuff.

I will be travelling in a regular balcony cabin. Is shower gel provided?

From a post above it sounds like it only soap is provided.

I like the shampoo and conditioner that are in Aqua. No objection to the soap or shower gel either. No strong smell and they work well.

We had shower gel in our Equinox balcony. All provided amenities are thin and stinky imho.

The shower gel wasn't up to much. I did use the shampoo/conditioner though.

Just ask your stateroom attendant for the Bvlgari branded toiletries. They have no problem brining them if you ask nicely even if they're only supposed to be for suite guests. I always get them and love them so much I even take the unused ones home with me.
