ALW2 Posted June 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2016 Silly question....we booked a private tour with a tour company. When eating lunch or dinner in SPB, does the tour guide eat with you?
jagsfan Posted June 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2016 We booked with Denrus, and our guide ate with DH and me. I think there were 8 of us plus our guide. St Petersburg was absolutely fantastic, beginning to end. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Rare SpainAlien Posted June 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2016 We were with SPB and a few different minibuses met up at the same restaurant. All the guides ate together all the holiday makers ate together. The food was traditional Russian fare which we enjoyed. It included a drink. Have fun we loved it Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Brigbound Posted June 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I think I remember the guide from Alla tours eating with us once but usually they were busy with behind the scenes procedures or checking their messages whenever we had a main meal or part of the tour had a brief (and I mean brief) break in the action. We always had access to them if needed but we appreciated the breaks. They did a spectacular job!
blueblock Posted June 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I don't think our Alla tour guide ate with us in St. Petersburg or in Moscow.
gagirl7143 Posted June 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2016 Our Alla guide ate with us. We also met up with other Alla tours and and had almost an entire restaurant with her groups for the traditional lunch.
mek Posted June 20, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2016 We only had 6 people on our Denrus tour and the driver and guide ate separately, (their decision, not ours.)
Ashland Posted June 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2016 Our private tour (just the two of us) with TJ Travel our driver & guide sat at a different table than us at Stolle and a local bakery we had lunches at and used their time on their phones. This was very comfortable no big deal.
