bmtpsu Posted July 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2016 Looking for a resort offering a Beach Pass for the day. Only looking to swim with access to an umbrella/chairs that also has a restaurant/snack bar. A swimming pool would also be nice. Spent the day with the above amenities about 8 years ago but forget the resort name.....only remember the iguanas walking around the bar. Thank you :)
Coronakid Posted August 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2016 We too spent the day several years ago at a resort with iguanas walking around the bar. It was a fabulous beach for snorkeling, and the restaurant/bar was fun. Was that the Bonaire Resort? Lynette

candydane Posted September 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Informative video. When was it shot? Did you have a reservation or just caught the resort shuttle at the pier? Thanks.
OCruisers Posted September 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2016 We did a great one in Bonaire some years back but no longer seems to be an option. Now, Spice Bonaire seems to meet our needs nicely. :) http://www.spicebonaire.com
taterules Posted September 17, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2016 Have you considered staying on the ship? It has a pool, loungers, shade, and a bar.

RFerrington Posted October 5, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2016 Looking for an all-inclusive resort day pass in Bonaire. Didn't particularly like the looks of the one in the video above (Plaza Beach ??). The beach looked dreadful with all the rocks and debris. Anyone know of anything else ? Anything that includes transport to and from the ship ? Will be on the Navigator, arriving Dec. 26 or 27 (can't remember at the moment). Bonaire isn't one of the locations on resortforaday dot com

jaynak Posted November 16, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We walked to The Plaza EARLY - like 9:00. They said they were fully booked and couldn't admit us. SO walked back to the ship, stopping at Divi Flamingo for a few hours. $10 for the use of a lovely "deck" with shade, nice loungers, and a terrific view. Cold water was available at the check in desk. Oh yes, clean washrooms! This is not a great place for the beach though - very very rocky. For $10, we were happy. We had the use of a lounger, pool, restrooms and a free drink. The beach itself was very rocky but the water was pretty.

jazzydiver Posted January 17, 2017 #14 Share Posted January 17, 2017 I just wanted to add, regarding Plaza Resort, that they have added a floating dock since wdblake shot his/her video. So access to swimming & snorkeling is very easy even if you don't want to walk through the somewhat rocky area right at the water's edge. I didn't think entry via the shore was bad (we did it several times with scuba gear), but the dock is very nice for jumping in and there is a ladder to climb back out. A few people in our group snorkeled from there several times. Nice place to sit and look at the view too - there was a picnic table on the dock. I just got back from Bonaire yesterday. Had a 10 day vacation there (via plane, not cruise ship obviously) and we were in a house right next to Plaza Resort. For RFerrington, all-sand beaches are pretty rare in Bonaire. For those who like to see fish when they snorkel, you don't want an all-sand beach (even though they're pretty). Rocks + Coral = Fish. The Plaza beach is sandy above the water line, so walking around on the beach barefoot there is comfortable.
