We have booked full suites on a couple of upcoming cruises on the Emerald and wonder what evening is best to use the "free" tickets to the Crown Grill:) We dine other times in a main dining room and know that first night there's real meet.:confused:

When staying in a suite previously the 'free' dinner was first night only, probably because that is the quietest time.

If you want to dine on a different night you can either inquire at the restaurant or the DINE line. Seems most of the time they will grant your request. There have been some posts that have said they was no change allowed.

We were able to change ours. ;)

Also you don't have to do not have to go the crown grill you can go to Sabatinis or share depending on what ship your on. Changing the night is hit or miss depending on the ship.

If you are able to change, I suggest trying to go on the Caribbean Dinner night or the All American night. Hubby says the Italian night. :D Those nights tend to have our least favorite meals.

Don't forget that being in a suite allows you to order room service from the main dining room full menu and eat on your beautiful balcony if you chose each night as well!:)

It is a great perk you can order it for lunch or dinner or breakfast.

You can only use it the first night and you can go to any specialty restaurant and Swiss Dave is right it's because it's the quietest night but it is a great perk and not all cruise lines do it. Plus don't forget the suite breakfast on the Grand it used to be in Sabatini's but now is in the Crown Grill.

We were also able to change this from the first night. Had to talk to the Matre D. The first night is always prime rib night and I like their prime rib.

We were able to change ours ... but it had to be to the evening of a Port Day, not an At Sea Day.

Like many other things, seems what's allowed varies from ship to ship and sailing to sailing. :rolleyes:
