calmpets Posted August 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2016 It doesn't seem to mention breakfast at Cagney's, unless I'm missing it. Isn't that a suite perks on all the ships, or is it not offered on ships with the Haven?
ryarger Posted August 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2016 It doesn't seem to mention breakfast at Cagney's, unless I'm missing it. Isn't that a suite perks on all the ships, or is it not offered on ships with the Haven? Maybe that's included in "Special Suite menus". Regardless, every full suite does get some sort of special breakfast. On some ships it's in Cagney's or another specialties. On ships with a Haven restaurant it's there. pathubia Posted August 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Priority embarkation and dis-embarkation Priority tendering Breakfast and Lunch at Cagney's Butler will bring you afternoon snacks Butler will set up in room dining Concierge Bottle of sparking wine in the suite Try doing a search, this is what I came up with off the top of my head, but there are lists of perks. dexddd Posted August 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 31, 2016 You have to be a bit careful with that list. Some things are checked as being "available" but are not included - e.g. mini-bar will be in your room but the items inside (with exceptions for GV/OS/DOS for soda/water) will be charged if you use them. Also, the list seems to indicate bottled water is included in all categories, it isn't. Escort to suite - doesn't usually happen as usually they take you to Cagney's/Moderno). SMerritt Posted August 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) New to the suite life. Can someone help me with a list of suite amenities and perks for the 2 bedroom family suite (SC) room? Which NCL ship are you saling on? Your butler will bring you anything and everything! Your pizzas, m&m's, dinners from the specialty restaurants by the pool or in your suite - sometimes I order from Italian restaurant and DH has a Steak from Cagney's (specialty restaurant = there is a charge) ;) Your concierge will make all of your dinner and show reservations, escort you early to shows for the best seats.......also escort you off of the ship on disembarkation day to avoid lines. Breakfast in the Haven restaurant or Cagney's, if you have a Haven restaurant, the Lunches and dinners are fantastic! Oh, also, I don't like the funky Appetizers ALL Cruise lines tend to bring in the afternoon - I change to a cheese & cracker plate or the amazing hot pretzels. Don't be afraid or shy to ask your butler or concierge for ANYTHING 18 Haven cruises.........will never go back - Have a GREAT Cruise! I'm sailing on the Jade in the spring, which has suites and haven suites as separate categories, and it got me wondering. The Haven suites description mentioned access the private Haven restaurant, but the regular suites didn't mention anything about the breakfast perk at all, so I was confused. Imalismom Posted August 31, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 31, 2016 The one perk I like is being able to order pillows before you embark.

Rare BirdTravels Posted August 31, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Having your butler bring you M&Ms, gummy bears, and PB&J sandwiches in addition to afternoon snacks (just a BIG kid at heart). And ordering anything you want for breakfast and having your butler serve it on a white tablecloth in your room.

francina Posted September 1, 2016 #18 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Same on Jewel. I would assume that Pearl and Gem are the same as well. Yes, they are the same. Mist of the older ships doesn't have a Haven restaurant. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Escort to suite - doesn't usually happen as usually they take you to Cagney's/Moderno). I have had it both ways. Suite stateroom not available (still cleaning) and dropped off at Cagney's. And dropped carry-on luggage and gear in suite closed the open door and taken to Cagney's. In both cases received stateroom key cards and a package of information from Concierge in Guest lobby off ship with all the ships butlers doing the escorting. They move fairly quickly and have access keys to elevators to speed the boarding along and know if your stateroom is available for use or is still in the cleaning set-up stage. If you are boarding with other parties not permitted to use Cagney's some folks just figure out to meet in a MDR or Buffet or a convenient watering hole to kick the ship in gear - Bon Voyage ! A fairly straight forward process with few problems - except for the narrow gangway(s) boarding the ship crowded with other folks who did not have the use of a butler ! There are so few suites on most ships that the butlers can usually handle 4 or more suites an hour. At the guest lobby where you get your key card and credentials you usually have to wait a few minutes while the butlers assembles your group by cabin location so you will not have to wander all the way aft and then forward and then to Cagney's. It works fine. Once on board if you know your ships layout - you can dismiss your butler and go your own way !

Rare wilmingtech Posted September 2, 2016 #21 Share Posted September 2, 2016 New to the suite life. Can someone help me with a list of suite amenities and perks for the 2 bedroom family suite (SC) room? A lot of the amenities were lost on us. This past Feb was our first time in a suite. I think all the little things like pillow choices (never materialized) the name brand soaps and shampoos (we bring our own) being escorted to moderos for lunch (we would have preferred to board early drop our stuff and check out the ship first before eating lunch) are nice touches but things we really didn''t care for. When we got to the port it was nice to have a waiting area but we got there at 10am expecting to be able to check in and walk onto the boat around 11 or so. Instead we got herded into the suite guest waiting area where we sat for almost 2 hours waiting for the concierge to check us in. The concierge finally brought us our paperwork at 11:45 and we finally went with him to board the ship. When they scanned us at security we found they had lost the photos that went with our keys and we now had to go to guest services to get our pictures retaken. Then escorted up to Modernos. We were the last people there and had to wait for a table. And carted all our carry ons with us as the room wasn't yet ready. (There's 6 of us altogether, 3 of them teenage girls...lots of carry ons) we waited a long time to be served. Not real long but about 10- 15 minutes we sat waiting. We were one of the last groups to leave modernos. After lunch we went to the haven area and none of the keys worked. Someone was nice enough to let us in and then the keys wouldn't open our door to our room either. We couldn't find the concierge anywhere and had to find one of the butlers to get in touch with the concierge. The butler let us into the room but now we couldn't go anywhere until the concierge came back with our keys. The first set he brought back didn't work (well 2 of the 4 worked) so off again he went. Eventually it worked itself out. I'm not here to complain about all this. What I will say is that being in the Haven made all this painless. We truely enjoyed the room. Its fantastic. And we had no idea what a Butler is or does but he 'trained' us in his Jedi ways. Quite honestly its most of what made our experience unforgettable. Would we do it again? Absolutely. An experience like none other. Is it worth the cost? I wouldn't pay full straight up price for it but if the wind is blowing the right way and the chips fall where they may I would certainly take advantage of paying extra to get into a suite. You will have a fantastic time. Ameneties or not. And if you do ask for a bowl of mnms or gummy bears... be prepared to pace yourself. -Sean

The only thing I could conceive here that did not happen was your checked baggage was delayed getting to your unobtainable cruise quarters ! A PRIME example of "Murphy's Law" running amok ! Only thing in NCL's defense you arrived too early for the boarding call and had to wait at each step for them to get their act together !
