Swim against the current pool?

Does the Caribbean Princess have a "swim against the current" adult pool like the one on the Emerald Princess?

When they have them (& the Caribbean Princess does) they are located in the Lotus Spa pool.

Unfortunately, they're not functioning 8 out of 10 times.

I've never seen any on them replaced on any ship that has them. Maybe they're planning on retiring them as soon as they're shot.

Well that's too bad. We had a great time on the Emerald in that pool! But i do remember some people getting scolded by the Sanctuary staff when they got a little too vocal in their fun. Not us of course! :D

I would never hit that magic button when my unsuspecting GF was right in front of the jet. No way :D

 

Can't remember which ship was the only one that it actually worked on. It was either Star or Grand.

Nor was it working in early May.

Even when they are working someone is always complaining that they are too strong or not strong enough. I think Princess has given up on them.

My son is an avid swimmer and loved using these. But of late they have not been working or are not on the ship. They told him that they are being phased out because of too many problems.

If it is working (it was on our last Emerald cruise), be prepared to really swim against it, it's fairly strong.

We, too, loved the swim against current pool on the Emerald when we used it back in October 2014. Since then we have been on the Star and the Ruby, and it was not working on either. Staff seemed uninterested when we pointed this out. Such a shame.

That's why they removed the adjustment knob & set them in the middle.

The same happened to us one trip. I think it was due to complaints from the sanctuary people. It was just some loud talking but I guess it up set them.
