Inspiration or Imagination?

In 2017 I hope to check Catalina Island off my bucket list. Are there many differences between Inspiration or Imagination? For this cruise I'd most likely be doing it on the cheap (inside cabin with no bunks). It'll probably be a girls trip (women aged 50+ & no kids) if that matters.

Main difference is what day of the week do you want to cruise.

Decor is different.

Imagination has a slightly (I said slightly) less garish decor than the Inspiration. Have never figured out what those purple tube things are supposed to be in the Inspiration buffet.

We actually prefer the purple tubes to the under the sea theme because it's so dark in the lido buffet with all the aqua green color so it's the Inspiration tube art for us.

We love the Inspiration! Would like to try the Imagination sometime. If you choose the Imagination please come back and post how you liked it!

I was on the Imagination last month--pre-drydock--and loved it. (Those topless sphynxes, or whatever they were, surrounding the Atrium were something else!)

Haven't been on the Imagination yet, but we loved the Inspiration. I don't think you can go wrong here. The Inspiration went into dry dock earlier this year and I believe the Imagination is due to go into dry dock soon if it hasn't already. Have a wonderful cruise!
