Port of Miami

depends on your definition of walking distance. the port is on an island and all stores are off this island. you can walk to the mainland but you are looking at a mile or more

 

you are much better off to stop someplace b4 you get to the port

You cannot walk from the terminal back over the bridge, the port authority won't let you. CVS is the closest, there is a wine shop 3 blocks north as well.

While I do not recommend doing this on embarkation day you can indeed walk to or from the port of Miami. We do this often and that includes having done this on back to back cruises when we are in-transit in Miami and wanted to pick up items for the next cruise(s) and also on each of our pre-cruise stays when we just wanted to walk over to the port to see which ships are in port.
