halloween cruise, what happens on board?

1st halloween cruise coming up, i know there is a costume party but does everyone usually get into the spirit of it? what other things do they do? just trying to plan and be prepared.

I emailed RC and asked about a Halloween party and here's their response: "We will host a variety of fun Halloween-themed activities during our Halloween voyages. A Halloween theme night will be held onboard on the night of October 31st. Children are encouraged to bring costumes and will be taken trick-or-treating around the ship by the Adventure Ocean staff. Adults are also encouraged to bring costumes as we typically host an adult costume contest and costume party."

We got an email on our Harmony TA regrading a number of things. One of them was to bring a costume for the Halloween part and costume contest.

Last year on Freedom, we had a halloween parade of all dressed up and then a dance party. This year we will be on Harmony TA and I haven't heard anything, but am not planning on dressing up - don't have space in my suitcase to take a costume anyways since we are flying to Barcelona to get on the boat.

 

 

but yes, they do party for halloween!

We had a blast at the Freedom of the Seas Halloween party. Lots of cruisers in costume, music, dancing, balloon drop and confetti! Loved it!

Several years ago we were on Liberty and tons of people were in costume. They had a big party in Studio B - it was a blast!

We will be on Liberty and plan on taking costumes that are easy to pack. We aren't after prizes but just want to have fun. Thinking of bringing a small bag of candy for any trick or treaters. Glad to know it will be decorated. It's typically a formal night so unsure how that is going to play out. Hoping they move formal night to the next night.

Did Allure few years back. Kids parade and then adults on promenade. Special decorations...was good fun.

They did the nightclub up as a Haunted House was hilarious & also quite scary.....many people came running out screaming.

We were on Enchantment on Halloween last year. Lots of people decorated their doors and dressed up. Many people wore costumes to dinner. There was a costume parade and dance party. It was alot of fun.
