CheapieD Posted November 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2016 Just noticed for my 11/5 sailing I had $3.86 obc added. (Had $150 two days ago, now $153.86) I don't think my cabin dropped $1.84 per person since the ship Was sold out. Anyone have any idea What this was from? For $4 I am not Going to call and take up a reps Time. Would it be adjusted port charges? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The port charges went down from the time you paid final payment until now. We had the same thing happen on Magic Edited November 4, 2016 by ryano

bptex Posted November 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2016 They always over estimate just to be safe, I got $12 back on my last cruise and have seen as much as $86 but that was when we only had 4 hours in Cozumel.

mzlinda Posted November 4, 2016 #14 Share Posted November 4, 2016 The way it has been explained to me, let's say port charges are $3000 for the ship to dock in Aruba. When you first book your cruise, they estimated how many passengers will sail on that cruise. Let's say they estimated 3000 passengers so everyone was charged $1. Shortly before embarkation, they have the final passenger list and there are 3250 people onboard. So everyone paid a few pennies too much and gets an OBC. AdGuyMG Posted November 4, 2016 #15 Share Posted November 4, 2016 It's an a adjustment of the estimated Government Fees and Taxes to the exact amount. Port Charges (aka NCF's) are something else.
