njdogmom Posted November 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2016 We're sailing on Silhouette (5th time!) on December 4, 2016. Are the on-board coupons still paper or are they loaded onto the sea passes?

TeeRick Posted November 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2016 As far as I'm aware Celebrity still uses the old-fashioned paper coupons delivered to your stateroom. That was the case with us earlier this year on Infinity. There is talk that they might switch to the sea-pass card system that Royal uses which would make sense. They might pilot it first -perhaps they have already on certain ships.

Sailed Equinox from 7 September until 3 October and, during those cruises, coupons were not used with Captain's Club perks instead loaded to SeaPass Cards... The trial seemed to be going well but the Captain's Club Hostess indicated that the "big" test would occur on the Equinox Transatlantic--lots of Captain's Club members aboard--that ended this morning in Fort Lauderdale... If successful, expectation is that the revised process will be implemented fleet-wide but--to the best of my knowledge--no timetable has been set for the change... It has been reported here that the revised process is also being tested on Constellation at the present time...

Rare cruisestitch Posted November 7, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Captain's Club coupons are in transition -- right now the internet no longer needs a paper coupon. On some ships, the laundry no longer has a paper coupon and it is loaded on the SeaPass card, but this has not happened on all ships yet.
