Rare Gail & Marty sailing away Posted November 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Where do you put all your things, with so few drawers ? Would you consider bringing plastic drawers ? Rare Scrapnana Posted November 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2016 I have heard of people who buy a plastic set of drawers in the port of embarkation and just leave them onboard when the cruise is over.
easyboy Posted November 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2016 We put in the luggage placed under the bed those that won't fit in the closet and drawers. We ask the room steward for a large pantry plastic bag to dump used clothing prior to laundry service. Sent from my iPad using Forums
noddoyll Posted November 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Just like easyboy said if you put a piece of open luggage under the edge of your bed you can slide it in and out and use it like an extra set of drawers. No extra purchases or packing needed:) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
2552phxcrzr Posted November 18, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2016 We always use the luggage under the bed for some stuff. But this time, we will be gone for six months and have free luggage shipping. Have some sterilite drawers at home that I was going to get rid of. Instead of doing that, I am going to fill them with stuff and ship them. They will fit nicely on the top shelf of the closet. Will leave behind at the end of the RTW. rkacruiser Posted December 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Underbed storage of luggage holding any excess "stuff" worked for me. Remember that there is laundry service available. I took too much stuff that I should have planned to send to the laundry (or do the laundry since facilities were available for the guests). Dcoy Posted December 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Agree with storing in luggage under bed. After visiting areas where was cold, winter stuff stored under bed, out of sight, out of mind. Also, Cunard's Queen Victoria had two large drawers under the foot of the bed. Don

Rare Keith1010 Posted December 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted December 12, 2016 We try to optimize the closet. This includes bringing our own wire hangers to get more items hung. If the cruise involves both warm and cold weather clothing we will keep some of one in one piece of luggage under the bed and then change it out when the weather changes. We keep all of our back up toiletry and other related items in one suitcase under the bed. Keith
