This is a message from Tanya, Harriet's Daughter, she asked me to pass along. As you will see by her words Tanya is a very strong young woman its just how Harriet Raised her

On behalf of my father, brothers and countless friends & family, we thank you so much for your kind words about my mother, Harriet.

My mom has always been a lover of the seas, starting back from when her parents would take her to the Panama canal for her sweet 16 on a cruise. About 5 years ago, she really kickstarted her “cruising life.” She became much more active on a forum that kept her busy, entertained and happy. Little did we know, how much pleasure it would bring her.

My mom convinced our entire family to go on a 2 day cruise out of NYC in December 2015 against most of our wishes, but we did it because we of course loved her. Although it wasn’t our thing initially, after meeting the girls and seeing her work that boat like she owned it, we understood just why she loved it so much.

To everyone she met on here virtually and in person (especially the Vixen ladies), I CANNOT thank you enough for everything you guys have done for my mom before and after she became sick. For the last two years specifically, she lived a life that people would only dream of. She got to meet, travel and experience so many life adventures with wonderful people. You guys made her last few years worth it all. Fighting the battle she did for her family includes the cruise family, and I only wish she was able to take that final December cruise.

I may not be Harriet (ehhh for good and bad, ha) but just know you always have a link to her through me.

Thank you,

Tanya Pecorari, Harriet Pecorari’s daughter.

My sympathies to you and family.

Your mother was a very special woman and many, myself included, will miss her wonderful insight and knowledge shared here on CC and when sailing with her.

I recently last my mom also, cherish her memories and stay strong.

Safe sailing

Thank you Tanya and Geri (for posting this).

I lost my mom about 6 years ago and it's been a challenge every holiday since, with my dad.

Taking the time to celebrate Life is so important.

I never met your mom but appreciated all that she contributed to this message board.

Keep on fighting :)

~Robin
