Recommended Posts

Hello , need advice going on cruise next week Serenade Wife fell and broke 3 bones in foot . Can I cancel excursions once I get on the ship first day ? Yes we have trip insurance but doctor says there is no medical reason she can't go . She can't walk on right foot she uses knee scooter . It will take 8 weeks or longer for bones to heal . No surgery needed , thank god for that . Thank you for your replies.

Yes. You still have time to cancel NOW and get a refund to your credit card.

If you wait until you board, you will receive your refund as OBC on your SeaPass card. (which would be refundable, but is still less smooth than a refund to your cc.)

We had to cancel an excursion while on board and were told we had to do it 24 hours before the excursion if we wanted a refund that would be an OBC. If you can possibly cancel your excursions before the cruise, it would be best. Also, you probably don't want to wait in line and that excursion desk line is always long once you board.

To support this, excursion cancellations must be made three days prior to sailing to provide a direct credit to the card used for the original charge. If past this time frame, the credit will be issued as a refundable OBC, if not used in full by the end of the cruise. On board cancellations must be done 24 hours prior to the excursion to then be issued as a refundable OBC. :)

Just to add to the above...check the cancellation policy on your particular excursion once onboard...most "assume" all are cancel 24 hours prior to the start of the excursion...but there are some that are actually 48 hours prior.
