You can purchase gifts for friends or family online by entering their first and last name and one of the following:

month of departure, email address, phone number, zip/postal code, or departure date.

It's different in the fact that friends and family can now order gifts for you online instead of calling.

In theory this works. If a trip has been moved or there is more than one trip in a given month it can't identify which trip. Phone still works.

I just used it to send my Aunt and Uncle a bottle of Wine for Christmas Day on their Ruby Cruise. I didn't even know their cabin number! You can use the guests phone number, zip code or month of sailing. Princess will keep it a secret for you too in case its a surprise.. It was super simple..
