roger001 Posted December 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2016 On the Jade at Harvest Caye now. Got off ship with a super bad idea of the place. I was sooo wrong! It is so well done. Beautiful, beautiful beaches, beautiful swimming pools. Room for everyone with out crowding. No way could it be free though. Food and drink are fairly priced at about a land based bar price. Lots of additional fun activities for a fee. I am totally impressed. Unfortunately we only have a half day here on the Jade (gotta get back to Tampa). If you get here with a full day, enjoy!!!! Oh, the local Belize folks working here nice as can be. My opinion!
slhopper Posted December 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2016 Thanks for sharing, glad you are having a good time. We tend to opt for beach days on most of port days so are very excited about this option for our upcoming Jan 08 cruise on the Dawn!

Thanks for sharing your opinion Scanditaly It's coarse granules as opposed to super fine sand, not rocky. You can totally go barefoot. It's just not like what you see all over the Caribbean. Anything else? Yes there's a splash pad with a small slide. The water is pretty shallow near the shore, so fine for kids. I don't know the rules on visiting, but there wasn't anyone patrolling the cabana areas to check how many people you had. If you are renting a beach cabana, it comes with 6 bottles of water in the fridge, plus a couple fruit and cheese plates. We had a really great day there (full day 8-5 on the Getaway). The island is beautiful, and the beach cabanas are especially nice. Edited December 10, 2016 by kell2150
