Did you get the printout in your post #76 from guest services or another location onboard?

That was from the Champagne Bar on day 2. I remember one bar tender saying the promotions don't get loaded to your card until the evening/next day.

I recall on the 18th asking to see the promotions on card and only had two at that time.

Comedian was Phil Tag. Show was about 45 minutes. Had some of the usual cruise related jokes, slipped in the bathroom and fell on my bed and fells like parting of the seas in order to get out of an elevator (wait for those to exit before trying to get in).

With it being 70's night he also had so in room material to work with. Was told that on the final night a show would be done in the main theater with diffrent material.

Overall, I thought the show was good.

There is not.

Only Anthem and Harmony have this.

First part of yoyr question has been answered already, no puzzle room (unless you call your cabin in the dark one).

Thanks for the compliment, been fun writing up these posts (not even sure if you can call them reviews).

So this post closes out another day. Sadly the next daily post will be the final one.

Not even sure what to write up about today. Most of it was fast paced and a blur (once again, not the alcohol induced kind).

First opinions, first. Know it will stir up some opinions.

Tonight at dinner we happened to be seated next to some first time Royal cruisers that happen to have a negative opinion about customer service and some of the food options. They are frequest Carnival cruisers and a segment of the market that Royal is wanting to capture.

Married couples in their mid 30's.

After speaking with them they were wanting me to think about giving one of Carnival's 2.0 ships a try. I'm a legacy Platinum with Carnival, so I wouldn't be a bottom tier.

One of the things they missed on Royal has been the a beer tenderloin/filet option that isn't an extra charge. Plus the only better burger option is an up charge vs Guy's on Carnival.

On the Customer Service side, they have requested a few things time and again GS said it would be taken care of. With the cruise almost over, the only thing that has been done is getting a bottle of fermented grape juice that they don't drink.

Another item was seeing an offer to test the Internet for 15 mins at no cost, just needed to call a number. When they called it after the first day they were told that the offer was only valid the first day. I helped solve that issue...

They did say they loved the ship and crew. But some of the core items had fallen flat.

No complaints about size or lack of ocean views from publuc areas. Just some of the common ones.

Not mentioning this to stir the pot. Just know some of us, including myself, have gotten some tunnel vision.

So with that off my mind...

Today was a cruising day, nothing really planned out.

Was able to scope out WJ around 10a for breakfast. Did spot smoked salmon today.

Did another sweep of WJ during the lunch time period. Didn't notice anything diffrent than last week.

Will note things didn't seem as crowded in WJ today.

Went to the Captain's Talk, some of the same "comedy" routine as last week. No real hidden tidbits were given.

After that went to the Johnnie Walker Seminar and Tasting.

Samples were: Black, Double Black, Gold, Green, and Blue

This was a free sales pitch, samples were no more that 5ml, basically a sip.

After that spent some time in the Casino.

Did a sweep of WJ at dinner, had a custom pasta station setup.

Dinner was in the MDR. Menu was that of the second formal night from last week (tonight wasn't formal).

Went back to the room for a quick power nap, then off to the Quest.

At the Quest was it was the same requests from last week. If asked I could provide a cheat sheet.

Some more time in the casino.

Sure I've forgotten a few things, but they were super minor things.

In five hours well be in Nassau for six hours (7:30 off, 1:30 back). Personal plans, day on an empty ship and the depressing job of packing.

Drink Package Damage Report: Don't even care at this point.

That is it for this post!

PS: Could have sworn I saw the ultra rare white card with the under 21 background. This the individual with it was under 10 in age.

Keep the questions and requests coming. I'll do my best to provide any details.

Off tangent side note...

These daily posts take about 30-45 mins.

Never realized how much time I've spent pecking away on a smartphone's keyboard with each post.

Swung by Park Cafe, no salmon at the bagel station.

Thanks for the info on Park Cafe and salmon. Wonder if they have it if one asked.

Do the SL and DL have smoked salmon on the continental breakfast buffet? I always get it there, along with the specialty coffees, in the morning. A week of lox, bagel and cream cheese is always great for me.

Know the SL had it and most of the time the offerings in the DL and SL were the same. With that logic, would assume both have it.

Did ask about it in Park Cafe, was directed to the dining room. Could end up being one of those answers may vary things.

Question: on B2B cruise, when do you give extra gratuities? This is our first B2B.

To also extend on Bob's answer. In my case we changed cabins. So for the stateroom attendant on the first segment. We gave something extra after he had moved everything to the new cabin.

For dinner, held off until this segement.

Thanks for the info.

There are lots of good menu items in Park Cafe besides lox and bagel.
