Ecstasy Dec. 2-7...some thoughts...

We enjoyed this cruise very much. The ship was all decorated for Christmas and was so pretty. We knew going in that there would be none of the upgrades, but the hamburger grill was nearly as good as Guys. We ate in the dining room 3 times...we had anytime with no wait at all. Everything we ordered was really good except one flat iron steak that wasn't cooked to order. Otherwise we enjoyed all the hot soups, crisp, cold salads and especially the fried shrimp.

We were asked about our room service. We chose morning with an extra pillow and ice. I didn't notice a bit of difference. At night he still turned down the bed, made a towel animal, left our fun times and fresh towels. Couldn't ask for more than that.

The casino was small, but we knew that too. We had a lot of fun, mostly playing Texas hold 'em. We've normally cruised premier cruises, but this wasn't, and it was kind of nice not having the casino so jam packed all the time.

We enjoy playing trivia, even though we rarely win...it's fun, and Josh, from the entertainment staff was a great host.

We never did get to any shows or even to the comedy club, which we normally enjoy. This cruise was all about relaxing and eating...lol...we did plenty of both.

We had a nice ocean view room. I missed having a couch, but I guess that's typical on a fantasy class ship. The air worked great and the shower was perfect...both so important to make the cruise comfortable.

We shopped a little in Freeport and went to the Atlantis in Nassau. I didn't know that the aquarium at Atlantis is free before 9 a.m.. We had taken the tour before, but it's definitely worth seeing, so we took advantage of that for half an hour.

Since we live close to the Charleston port, this made a nice little get away. It took us one hour from the time we got in line to park...(there's a special line for priority)...until we were in our room on the ship. We used self assist getting off and were in our car at 7:15. They've definitely improved both.

I'll try and answer any questions.

We live in the Charleston area, but 1st time cruising from here. You mentioned a priority line for parking. Does this include FTTF or is it just for frequent cruisers with loyalty status? I have pre-paid for the parking lot and have FTTF. I know how all this works at Port Canaveral, but total newbie for my own town. I'm trying to read all the threads quickly to figure out parking but I am getting a little confused and some of the info is a little dated. I want to arrive at the best time to take advantage of FTTF but understand they won't open the lot until previous passengers clear the area. I would prefer to give our luggage to a porter and not take it onto the ship with us. Best suggestions to accomplish most of this?

The priority line includes FTTF. You will be directed to the correct line after the first check point....have your documents ready here...You then pay for parking and drop off your luggage at the next tent. We got there about 11:30. I don't think I'd get there much before 11, but others might have better information.
