Unknown Credit card charges from cruise

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Last week I sailed on the Jewel of the Seas (cruise ended this past Sunday). I was reviewing my credit card transactions today and there are a bunch of charges from the cruise that I don't recognize and the "final" amount charged to my account is greater than what was on the final cruise invoice that I received on the last day from the ship. Who should I contact about this? I booked through a travel agent (if that affects the answer at all).

PS I'm from SW Ontario Canada - again if that affects the answer at all.

Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

I have only been on one cruise so far, but I have stayed at many Casino hotels with mini bars to find out that some are actually monitored for items removed and haven't had any charges in error, but when I got on the Breakaway in Nov 2015 and saw they had a mini bar with crazy prices I had the room steward remove the items so there is no way they can justify any charges for items no longer in the mini bar/fridge in my room aboard the ship or any ship in the future. Less temptation for wandering stragglers that may take from rooms left open during debarkation.

Suspiciously close to the magic $12 error. Did you get your $2 credit?

And who needs a newspaper? Royal Caribbean has a Facebook page and a twitter account (I'd guess) ask there what the deal is and why so many people are seeing this same charge over and over. Nothing like bad press on social media to get someone's attention.

No I never got my 2.00 credit and never concerned about it either. I would call it an error if it just happened to me but this seems like an ongoing problem. My solution. Do not leave Evian water in the room and we can't be charged. If we want it we will go to bar to get it. I still believe Royal needs to investigate what this is happening to so many people
