Caesar's Total Rewards Offer - Free NCL Cruise - Any perks?

I received an offer today for a free cruise voucher (Caesar's for NCL Cruise). My question is, are they giving any kind of NCL perks now with these free cruises (3x specialty dining, alcohol beverage plan, etc) like you would get if doing a standard booking?

There is no mention of any perks in the offer, but I'm curious if they are going to offer anything when I call to book. Thanks.

Yes you will get the perks with your booking just like you would a regular room. We have always paid for an upgrade to a balcony (usually comped an inside room). So we have always gotten the free drinks and specialty dining. You will get free drinks in the casino which include bottled water (not included in the beverage package). You will still have to pay the service fee for the promos. You will also get some treats delivered to your room from the casino.

We managed to go on 3 cruises last year with casinos at sea and upgraded at the last minute to Havens on 2 of them (before they started the bidding process).

Our best upgrade was my son and I were going to Alaska and they ran a promo for 3 &4th guest free. (DH had to work) Changed my booking to include my daughter. A week before sailing I upgraded us to a Deluxe Owners Suite for $750pp (total $1500). We had a blast and having a private hot tub on the glacier day was a memory we will have for a lifetime! Unfortunately my kids now think I can work magic and want me to get a Garden Villa for our next family cruise.

I am leaving on the 29th for my sixth free Caesars cruise. I am only comped an inside room so we paid to upgrade to a spa balcony. My free cruise was 1300 dollars for the both of us all in. It was helpful before I booked the first one having an idea how much to expect bill to be.

You will have a casino and drink card for each of you in your cabin. If you are only comped an inside room that is the perk you will receive. Upgrading to balcony has never gotten us the extra perks. We also have never received goodies in the room from the casino so that may be a case to case perk. It is still a modest savings and has worked well for us.

We get them from being a Total Rewards member at Caesar's owned properties (Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's, Rio, etc.). They are usually offered to members who are Seven Star or Diamond. While on the cruise, you do not use your "Total Rewards" card, you are given a players card by Casino At Sea to use, which is in your room when you check in, which also gives you the free drink card for the adults in the room.

What happens if you accept a cruise offer, but don't gamble on the actual cruise?

For 1 you will not be able to get a cruise directly from CAS (which are always better then land comp's) and I believe TR will be notified and the free cruise offers from them would dry up.

As a Total Rewards Seven Stars member, I have taken numerous cruises through offers from Caesars.

The cruise is a reward from Caesars Entertainment not by Casinos at Seas (CAS), therefore, you level of play has no impact on the cruise offers from Total Rewards.

I sailed on Total Rewards offers and have actual not gone to the casino at all. On others I have gambled a lot.

I play only video poker and the Ship's casino's machines offer a very low payout. Some machines are 7/5 for double double bonus poker.

This serves to be true if you take advantage of the Total Rewards offer for a stay at Atlantis in Grand Bahama. Your level of play there does not impact you annual trip to Atlantis.

Have fun on your ship and all the casinos.

Thanks! That's what I was wondering. I'm in Vegas about 4 times a year to gamble, but I don't gamble on ships. I used to be more of a Total Rewards player, although lately I'm switching more to m-Life. I was just wondering how this works.

M-Life is affiliated with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Their comped/discounted cruises are similar in that you have "earn" those perks thru M-Life and aren't required to play.

Yeah, I know the affiliations.

Beware when upgrading these inside cabin certificates.

Sometimes you will end up paying more than simply waiting until after final payment date and booking the balcony cruise directly with your Total Rewards Discount (30% for Seven Stars, 20% for Diamond, 10% for Platinum).

Depends on the itinerary. I'm not saying you shouldn't upgrade, but perhaps you shouldn't be too excited about this "free" cruise if you are gong to pay to upgrade it and lose any discount you were getting initially.

Also, as a perk, you do get a casino drink card, which can be used for free drinks in the casino, including bottled water.

You can get these free drinks without playing. Just bring your room key and NCL casino card to the casino bar.

This is basically a marketing partnership, though Caesars gets a piece of your action if you play onboard.

However, there will be NO PENALTY on your Total Rewards status if you don't play in the NCL Casino, nor will it affect your land-based offers. It will also not affect whether you get these offers again in the future.

Do they come via snail mail, or via e-mail? I know I get a discount for being diamond , but would be happy with a freebee too. :D

I got a card from the casino I frequent (Harrah's Cherokee) stating that if I went to the casino on any Wednesday in May (and then again in Aug) from 1-5pm I could go the the Total Rewards site (where you sign up) and get my certificate. I had to wait in line for about 15 minutes and show my DL and Diamond Card. They checked my name on a list, handed me a brochure and my certificate for the "free" cruise.

Even the interior has some costs associated with it and we chose to upgrade to an aft balcony, will be having fun end of Feb!

Check with your host as well. I got an offer in Dec or January. Called my host and he provided details of timing of the offer. It would not work with my travel plans. Knowing i was looking for this offer, he called me yesterday to let me know the next offer (May) was coming out and booked my room so I can pick it up in Vegas.

I am not gambling on my upcoming cruise. 2 complimentary cruises per year are part of my "perks" thru Total Rewards. I booked with a 6 year old, will be 7 at time of travel. They obviously know this, and they can not take my benefits away.

Take advantage of it :)

Yes, when you go to book your cruise, it will over you perks.. I got the ultimate beverage package and just had to pay the $99 in taxes on it. I just got back from my total rewards NCL trip and it was AMAZING!!

Be a degenerate gambler, just being honest. There is nothing "free" about these cruises to be honest.

I wouldn't say degenerate gambler. We went on NCL for the first time and got the offer 2 months later. Moderate gambling at the slots to be honest. I wouldn't gamble just to get the comps but if you're going to gamble anyway might as well get something out of it. We got an Alaska cruise for two $700.

I was offered a free cruise from harrahs and upgraded to a haven suite. On the cruise I won over $3,000 on a penny machine! This more than paid for the entire cruise. This was on the first night and I didn't gamble for the rest of the cruise. I pocketed the cash...because I'm not a degenerate gambler.
