Specialty Dining For Scenic Viewing

We're going on the Zuiderdam in May and there will be scenic cruising during dinner time. We have a two-top in MDR for early dining so we decided that, since none of those are by a window, to do specialty that night so we can have a view. We know that Canaletto has great window views (obviously, as it's the lido deck) but couldn't remember if the Pinnacle's windows were obstructed/buffered or if we'd have views there too (obviously, we'd eat right at opening at either to ensure said view). We'd prefer the Pinnacle if they have the views but couldn't remember if they did.

We've been on the other three ships of this make but just can't remember about the Pinnacle! :roll eyes: Thanks for helping us out so we can make the reservation we need.

There are very nice tables for 4 on the windows (no obstructions) and a row back, with just an aisle in between, are tables for 2.

Enjoy!

So the tables for two aren't by the window? We can make friends on board then! :)

Thanks for your help!

You can request a table by the window. Even though they are 4 tops, they do seat 2 people there quite often.

but.. it will depend on how busy they are and how many reservations for 4. When you make your reservation, just ask about availability and they will check for you if you want to dine alone.

The Pinnacle Grill has window tables. I eat breakfast there most mornings and the sun shines in. If you sit on the other side of the aisle from the window tables to mitigate the sun (after a night of over-indulgence perhaps), being so close to the water line, that the mirrored ceiling really reflects the wake rushing by. I've trained myself not to look up as the "movement" on the ceiling can get a little overwhelming, especially in the not-so-hypothetical morning scenario mentioned previously.

Another option might be to eat a late afternoon burger or pizza to tide you over to a late dinner somewhere. Or, if you have a balcony, order room service that night.

Do you know how late the scenic cruising goes? We might just eat later. That's a great point!
