mevs904 Posted January 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2017 We will be on the Jan. 19 Royal southern Caribbean sailing and are looking to sign up for an Internet access package. Does the package enable you to use more than one device (eg. Phone plus IPad or 2 different phones)?

paul929207 Posted January 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2017 You can use any number of devices with one internet package, but only one at a time
Pam in CA Posted January 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2017 You will be prompted to set up a login and password for the package. As said, only one device can be logged in using the same login and password at a time.
mevs904 Posted January 9, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Thank you, everyone! Excellent, informative replies. Could you possibly answer one more question...we have IPhones, what are the settings that we turn on and turn off when we are accessing the Internet? If this is a too specific question will the Internet Cafe Manager be able to advise us with this?

The best way to do it is to call up your command center (bottom up motion) turn on Airplane Mode, then turn on WIFI. Then go to your general settings and select the Princess network. Open you browser and follow the instructions for setting up an account. The Internet Cafe Manager should be able to help you as well as a passenger with an iphone or ipad. Remember that if you leave the Princess@sea app you will be charged for time on the internet. Also be sure to log off the internet when done IF you use it as it is not automatic when you shut things down. Good luck on your cruise and have fun. If this is a too specific question will the Internet Cafe Manager be able to advise us with this? To access the ship's wifi, we turn on the airplane mode and turn on wifi. Additionally, to avoid data roaming charges, we turn off Cellular Data and Data Roaming.

ano Posted January 10, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 10, 2017 When you are done using the Internet make sure you logoff. You can logoff from the phone app. if your on it or the web page you logged in on. Failing to logoff correctly means you will be charged extra minutes until the system finally logs you off.
