After seeing these photos, much of the ship looks pretty plain and boring.

Especially for a Carnival ship.

The atrium looks like an office building.

Main dining room looks like an old Bonanza Steakhouse.

Some of the other places look like Applebee's.

The Havana area is nice, but you have to pay for all that.......

Carnivals newer ships have a much more sleek and updated look. Gone is the old gaudy decorating of Farcus. They really are beautiful. I always hated the gaudy garish decorating of the older ships.

the gaudy decorating was what I liked about Carnival.

Each ship had it's own unique style.

The Grape ceiling on the Miracle was my favorite.

Now it just looks like a Holiday Inn...

Love your review and photos. Will you be posting a review of the getaway? We will be taking our first on NCL Breakaway in October. So reading everything I can find on NCL.

Thanks, yes after concluding my Vista review I will review Getaway for anyone who wants to stay and follow our adventures.

The Havana pool area is exclusive but not the hallway leading to the pool area and the bar area with band stand. These areas are open to everyone.

I have to agree. Maybe in person the ship doesn't look so cold. No soul......

It is easier the younger they are, teenagers are a handful. They are not teens anymore but they are still difficult at times. I'm looking forward to the day when they have kids and then we could introduce the grandkids to cruising. They can tag along too. :D

I found myself nodding with this statement. We started cruising when our daughter was 6, on our last cruise in 2016, she was 14. Talk about a difference.

Deck 11 is the Panorama Deck.

Similar to deck 10 the front third of the ship is filled with cabins, followed by the surrounding upper section of the main pool area which is filled with deck chairs and the band stand.
