Breakaway No Show

So I booked 2 balcony cabins on the Breakaway. One for myself and my husband and the other for my 4 kids. My oldest (22) just told me she's not going which leaves my other 3 in the room without an adult. I did book adjoining rooms with the guidance of NCL when I expressed to them that I was afraid my oldest wouldn't go. My question is, if the invoice is in my name with their names as guest in the room, is it technically my room? (Asking so I know in case they say it's her room). Both invoices are in my name and both rooms fully paid on my credit card. This is my first cruise and I'm a nervous wreck and I have no idea what to expect. Thank you so much for whatever advice you can give me.

Get in touch with NCL.

Change booking to have you and 2 children in 1 cabin and husband and 1 child in the other (or the other way round)

I presume it is not after final payment and you can remove the 4th child.

When you get on board rearrange the family accommodation as you want.

It is after final payment. If I change rooms around then I believe I lose all my perks. Not to concerned about the money I lose on her because I knew that was a probability when I booked, my concern is the rooms. I had expressed my concerns to NCL and was told if I have connecting rooms, there won't be any issue. It also states the same on their site about minors. I've just read a few threads on here and scared myself half to death.

Your room is adjoining, Call NCL and request the email to take responsibility of the children in the 2nd room. Have NCL move the adult passenger down in the booking (to passenger 3 or 4) and then call back a few days later (Cannot be done the same day) and remove them completely. You shouldn't have to change your booking and lose your perks in this case.

Can you please clarify if your rooms are connecting or adjoining?

You aren't clear in that respect

Connecting has an interior door

Adjoining are side by side with no interior door

Check the deck plans

Also cancel your daughter ASAP. If there is still time you may get at least 25% of her fare back. You will definitely get here taxes and port charges back though. We had to no-show last year and got a surprise check in the mail about 3 weeks later for our fees and taxes.

If your balcony cabins are connecting, you should be able to have NCL move your husband to the other cabin (for the booking only, it would still be him with you and the remaining 3 kids in the other when you're actually there). And they could then cancel your daughter.

They said I can't because that would change all my packages.NCL said I am fine because in paper I have an adult in the room and as long as I have connecting rooms, I don't technically need an adult in there. She also said that I won't have any issue being that she is technically the lead in that room. I asked if I would lose the room if she doesn't show up and she told me absolutely not. Even though the room is in her name (my name and CC on the invoice) because I am the parent of all 4 of them, I will be fine. Still very nervous

Any chance your daughter and I share the same name? I am 100% willing to take her place and offer you peace of mind - especially if your other 2 kids are old enough to not need a babysitter (though I can probably take a night or two for a free cruise)!

Meet you in Miami?
